Spurs were the better of two poor performing sides last night. Liverpool won’t care, neither would I if I was a Bindipper.
What do you make of the Guardian's comments about Spurs' potential to try and keep pace with the big boys ? "For all their energy, this team are in the process of breaking up a little. Three members of the back four could be on their way this summer. At least one high-class central midfielder is required. Some of the old guard have dipped, making that progress to Madrid all the more remarkable. Dele Alli has been poor for some time, a strangely static figure where his movement can be so thrilling. It seems odd to think at times this is the same upright, imperious player who tortured Real Madrid at Wembley in November 2017." https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...hettino-harry-kane-tottenham-champions-league
We need to spend and spend wisely this summer. But in most things I trust Poch, he got us where we are and I think he’ll keep us there if he’s given the backing.
That's the big issue, whether Levy will back him. To be fair to Poch, he's made it about as crystal clear as he can that if Levy doesn't, then his future might lie at a club that will.
tbh it's normally Klopp's teams dominating and losing. I'm sure the man will be delighted with his CL win..
New laws were introduced into world football yesterday but were not used in the CL final, one of them could have made a huge difference. https://www.not606.com/threads/commiserations-spurs.374837/page-7#post-12881414 The law remains that deliberate handball is an offence. But accidental handball will also be a free-kick if... the ball goes into the goal off an attacker a player gets the ball using his arm or hand and then scores, or creates a goalscoring opportunity a player's hand or arm has made their body "unnaturally bigger" the player's arm or hand is above their shoulder (unless the player has controlled the ball onto his own arm or hand) But a handball will not be a free-kick if... the ball is knocked on to a hand by the player in question or a nearby player the arm or hand is close to their body and "has not made their body unnaturally bigger" if a player is falling and the ball touches their hand or arm when it is between their body and the ground to support the body - but not extended to make the body bigger
