Coming season

I'm nervous, simple as that.

1- Cabaye, best signing this summer IMO, is not gonna be settled. He has played in a match where there was a pitch invasion, left out of US Tour and faces two of the most pressured matches of the year first.

2- Injuries - Ben Arfa getting injured is a massive blow. He will take a while to get to his full potential IMo.

3- Departures, Jose and Barton might leave with no time left for us to buy good replacements. (look at the beeb gossip column).

4- transfers - Erdinc will be a good signing but we need another LB, a CB and a right winger before the window ends.

All this is getting me nervous about the season to come.

 

Sit back and relax, things will work out fine.

 

Still enough time before the window closes and I don't think that Cabaye will be unsettled by the time the season starts.

Ben Arfa needs to be eased back in but I still believe that he'll have a good impact on the matches when he's played.

Erdinc? Not 100% convinced on him but I reckon he's better than Ameobi and Lovenkrands.

The season is a marathon and not a sprint so 3 points from the first 2 matches will be nice...

 

If we sign Erdinc today, my mood will lighten.

 

We have 2 decent warm up games against Leeds and Fiorentina. This USA tour has been a disaster.

 

Still need to sort travel out for the Leeds game. The guy that runs the coaches hasn't got back to me yet about details for the journey.

 

we'll be ok can anyone remember the tour to the Caribbean when we had that many injuries we had to play the backroom staff,now if this happens again i'd be worried

 

Cabaye will be a gem. Don't worry.

If we keep the players we have, i'll be happy. We technically have one more center back than last season, Steven Taylor is fit, and we have Williamson in cover. Who did we have for most of the season when it was just Willo and Col? Oh yeah, Sol Campbell, and that piece of **** was about as useful as a sack of piss.

Also Enrique rarely gets injured, and Ferguson, even though he's better at LW, did a decent job at LB last time, and i wouldn't mind him as cover.

We also have a few players that can cover RB.

We could be stronger in places, but i'm not nervous mate. We may not have the ideal strike force we wanted going into the new season, but we should give them a chance. If Ba can do well on ****ty team like West Ham, then i think he could do much better on a team with the service he'll be getting. Erdinc is a risk but his finishing looks great. If both strikers get around 10-12 this season i'll be quite happy, even though i think we need more of a frequent goal scorer.

We have a better midfield than anyone outside the top 7.

Look at Everton, they've had to try and do it with a bunch of **** strikers or strikers that get injured all the time.

We can do it, and i reckon we could be in the top 10.

 

Top 10, we lost to a team who are League 2 standard, not convinced about Erdinic, we will be a yo-yo club at best while Ashley is here.

Oh shut the **** up. We lost in a pre-season friendly, with a team that's no where near first choice. It's meaningless. Basing any season predictions on these matches is completely moronic.

I wish we hadn't gone on this ****ty USA tour. As i said last night, the american players can't tackle for crap and just go flying in to players. We should realize that low quality teams = low quality tacklers, thus you get players injured because of ****ty flying tackles. I was really surprised that one of our players didn't suffer a broken leg last night.
