Can't see why that person think Adkins will do any better. Its the board not the manager.

Bradford chairman paying for a trip to Las Vegas for his players.
I wonder where he cottoned on to that concept? :emoticon-0105-wink:

I don't get the ill will aimed at Lambert. He jumped. Some get pushed. It has always been that way within football. Look at Appleton, 3 clubs in the same season!
But he had to come a cropper some time. He has only been totally successful with us. Marginally at Wycombe but at Livingston he was dreadful and his claim to fame at Colchester was beating us 7-1.
Villa have not been relegated yet but do look dreadful. If he is a good manager, he will turn them around and they will stay in the Prem. But even if he doesn't, I won't be smug if we stay up. I will just applaud CH, his staff and the players.

Those of you hoping for Paul Lambert to be sacked, it looks like you'll be DISAPPOINTED

Fair point - if Lerner kept faith with McLeish for the whole season and has given PL £23m to spend there seems to be little to suggest the the gun is currently being cocked (cue PL being sacked by 5pm this evening). If he was going to get rid surely early Jan to give the new man a fair crack of the whip to bring in some new faces would be the way forward. That said given how cack Villa's squad is I am very surprised that they are not a hive of transfer activity.

I'd guess either Lerner is skint or a tightwad!

Not that I care in the slightest but surely Lambchops knew all to well what he was getting himself into by going to Villa? But then again he could have been lied to!

I'm still surprised he even went there, as he is still on good terms with Martin O'Neill, who doubtless would have warned him what to expect?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I bet he now wishes that he had stayed with you guys where he was hero worshipped! The Villa fans will soon start turning on him as I saw at first hand when we visited Villa Park a few weeks ago. He could have built a real lasting dynasty with you and yet he chose to go to a big club in terminal decline!

Don't think so for a second. Not sure why, but there was some reason he was never happy at Norwich. Hence why he wanted to go so much he resigned and also why he would never sign more than a year contract despite committing to Villa straight away with a relatively long term contract. I honestly think Lambo couldn't wait to get out of Norwich.
