We have played 6 won 4 drawn 2 and unbeaten this season so far and....negativity rules. We have a whole new team who have played but 6 games together. Come on boys we should be praising our great start not genting negative vibes. Reality check me thinks.
Good grief, it's early. Woken up at 4.00 by a howling gale, still going on. Not negativity from me Mike, just disappointment. Our chance to show on the box what CP is doing at The Valley and once again we underperform in front of the cameras. Back to winning ways on Saturday as I'm down for this one.
Second half was awful, Megson sent his lads out to get stuck in and they did and managed to disrupt our play. First half was better. However, we didn't lose in front of the cameras (sky +d it so I can look again at their goal which, Hamer was furious about - even went up to the officials at the end and gave them some lip), we are still unbeaten and should have easier opposition until the concrete dons.
I agree mike- this is sadly a cafc thing. Win and it's all good, anything less and we make 11 changes, change manager, blame the sponsorship on our shirt, the hamburger was too cold, the club shop was sold out of xxxxxxl away shirt and finally I can't believe we released kyel Reid.
I agree also Mike. P 6 W4 D2. Given recent seasons I'd take that anyday. Also its years since we watched a team that was entertaining to watch and can score goals. (But the burgers are always cold)
Couldn't agree more, was saying to my mate before the game i could see this being tight and would take a draw at this stage. There are a number of fans (some seated rather close to me) that expect us to be walking every game (the boos at the end of the scunny game riled me!) It's a Marathon not a sprint
It is not all negative thinking. There is a touch of realism involved. We have played other physical teams and beaten them comfortably. We know that this team has gelled together and can play good football. But last night it all went out of the window. It is a good start, granted, but it could have been so much better. Disappointed is the word, methinks.
