I've seen that Capitan Colo has been making rallying calls in the press saying relegation is 'not an option'.

    Sorry Colo but:

1- It most certainly is... statistically and realistically.

2-Stop putting your energies into hollow words and let your football do the talking.

It galls me that a player who fails to lead, and more importantly play to a Premiership standard has the cheek to roll out the same old pony lines.

If I were him I'd keep my curly mop down until I started to show I gave a **** ON the pitch before I started trotting out the old party line off it.

    ****END OF BEEL****

That gutless, curly haired **** needs to shut his mouth and **** off back to Argentina. Captain? Don't make me laugh. Relegation? With you in the side we most certainly are going to be close. I am sick to death of that prick opening his mouth every time we struggle. It's like he is told to by some brain dead dickhead in the PR department. The guy is one of the worst captains the club has ever had and is an absolute ****ing liability on the pitch. He needs to be chucked in front of a metro or off the Tyne Bridge. He is a big part of the problem. Useless ****.

Probably best to have him flapping his mouth off rather than his feet.

All need to get their act together and have some personal pride and integrity, play like professional footballers on larger than life salaries.

At least he's actually had good performances over the years. It's sad how the fans opinion goes from hero to zero.

Hate to say it but I agree with him 100%, Colo has actually had some good performances this season, think he's not the defender he used to be and fans seem to struggle to understand that the guy is getting on a bit. Relegation isn't an option for anyone in the Premier League but 3 teams will go down, it's clear when you see Advocaat leave Sunderland and get replaced by Allardyce or talk of Villa replacing Sherwood with Rodgers, they know it's not working out, McClaren will know he has to turn it round and the next few games will hopefully be make or break.

He played well against Man Utd but it's the only game where we sat deep and he didn't have to run much. He's been terrible in all other games from memory and awful last season as well. As good as he's been in previous years (although not for a while, on a consistent basis at least), he's past it and becoming a serious liability and he should have been moved on or put on the bench for this season, not given a new contract and kept on as captain (which he has always been abysmal as by the way - and I've said that from the start). To paraphrase Kevin Keegan, 'the first thing you need to know about Mike Ashley is he knows nothing about football, and Lee Charnley knows even less. So you've basically got two people who know nothing about running a football club'. And I think giving Colo a new contract this summer irrefutably proves that. I don't know what Steve McLaren's excuse is though.

Dummett, the second he is fit. Give captaincy of the club to Wijnaldum. And you mock with Willo, but he is no better, no worse than Colo. Taylor is probably better than the pair of them but he's still gash.

The real criticism needs to be aimed at Ashley, Charnley and Carr, though, who have YET AGAIN left the squad short in vital areas after a transfer window. And they INEXPLICABLY gave Colo a contract extension rather than manage him out of the club and giving the captaincy to someone who can actually lead.

I read the whole thing with colo in the mirror, other than being mildly cynical about the timing with what i believe are our preferred media partner? Might be wrong. still dont think he said a lot wrong though, hes not the leading and shouting type on the pitch and never was, if his way of leading is by making what seems to be a fractured dressing room full of people speaking multiple languages , some not even able to speak english, more comfortable by asking about the players familys etc then fair play to him, he is doing something in his own way. The whole squad hasnt benefitted from our recruitment policy and it must be difficult in there at times (most of the bloody time)

yes he needs to step up but so do most of them, and as others have already said, hes not the player he was and is obviously older. Considering hes seen all the lunacy of these last few years and is still capable of even caring is a feat in itself. I can obviously understand the situation with him wanting to **** off back home is/was annoying, but ive no doubt he feels a great deal for the club.

and do we want communication or do we want people to shut up or what? what exactly are we after?
