So - had a season ticket off and on - mainly on since 1976... just moved to Chicago - it is Saturday and I am in the hotel room with no chance of early release for good behaviour. Have to serve my sentence here. I have missed weddings, christening, birthday parties and work functions to attend games. Is this what it is like trying to give up heroin? You know it's not always good for you but you are the habit. Help me! Do they stream championship games? anyone in this site live in the mid west of the USA> AGGGGGGGGHHHHH - sweating, shaking a rash breaking out - not sure that QPR player is going to do it - no the methadone to my need....:emoticon-0106-cryin

Chicago's a good town, enjoy it. If my head office was there I would have moved across years ago. I know a lot of Brit exiles a couple of hundred miles south in Indianapolis. Anything other than Prem you will struggle with. Good mate who's a Pompey fan has just about given up trying. However they all say that going to (American) Football games is great fun, a lot have Colts season tickets. Chicago Bears have had a good start to the season too.

Welcome to the world of craft beer and straight roads!!

You can normally find a stream knocking around here, although the last two I had to catch a radio stream for.

If you ever find yourself in Houston, drop me a pm. I work in one of the best bars in town!

About 10 years ago, I attended a CFL game, Ottawa Rough Riders v Edmonton Eskimos, when I was away on business - was worth the experience to witness the match spectacle, but playing 4 quarters, with half-time break, pom pom girls, and frequent TV commercial breaks causing interruptions in play, the bloody game takes forever to complete. I believe the subtle difference between the AFL & CFL is 4 downs versus 3 (to make 10 yards?). Glad I went, but would never go on a regular basis, would rather seek out MLS or amateur local soccer.

Just spent the last year in Malaysia. Great coverage last season on TV (shame about the cack football!), but a lot less this season due to poor coverage of championship. Would imagine that's the case for most places in the world.

Moving back to UK for career progression, and will be heading abroad again at some point, but not gonna lie, am happy as Larry to be heading home for a few years cos I do miss heading up to loftus road.....especially in a season where expectations are really high. How good was out promotion season!!! Also get to take the kids to some games, which means an obligatory visit to the club shop :)

Some countries and places form supporters clubs.....some good ones in various US cities and Middle East......get one going in the Windy City.....and if you do, be sure to contact the media team and TF as they love that sort of stuff.

    Good luck!!

Lived in New Jersey for four years, and like a typical R's fan went for the Jets (instead of Giants), Nets (instead of the Knicks), Devils (instead of Rangers) and Mets (instead of Yankees).
Devils did great when I was there in the NHL and Jets too (for a short while - very much like being a QPR fan following the Jets). Nets came good in last couple of years I was there too. All were good live and great fun.
Never did get into baseball though.
