I think the fixtures have worked out quite nicely for me. Only two days hol to book for the Tuesday home games against Notts County and Stevenage and the earliest of those not until late October. Coventry is a midweek game but not until next year, so will not worry about that yet.

It's good to be starting with a home game and finishing with a home game!

So Colchester and Brentford at home to start with and a nice trip to Wolves in between...and then the Swine. Not doing the CC against Bristol City. Probably a more attractive start than finish to the season.

I see we have Wolves at home on the 4th Jan. If memory serves me correctly is that not a fixture date that could be moved dependent on FA Cup exploits?

I am pleased with the opening day fixture as Wimbledon are away to Torquay which means that I won't be working and able to come to Priestfield and see Keds play on his birthday. Hope he gets on the scoresheet.

Mouth-watering start - winnable first game, BIG 2nd game. Has anyone noticed how we basically always start the season at home? And I think there is an actual reason for that.

Thanks vinney, I thought as much. So the HOME fixture against Wolves could change if either of us venture to the third round. Hence that could potentially move it to a midweek fixture.

A important match at home to start with, 3 points needed . The next few matches look tough and we could be in the bottom 3 by the end of August if we don t beat Colchester.
