If it isn't Cody I will be seriously disappointed if Akinfenwa turns up. If Shrewsbury can afford Cody then surely so can we. Hopefully it may be someone off the radar instead.
maybe, can never be sure. I'm just waiting until I see something that I'm happy and satisfied with the source.
The Shrewsbury thing doesn't make sense if he moved his kids down to Kent last season due to the loan move....
Interesting isn't it. Cody made his name here then when given a chance to stay went to Coventrys money. Comes back and shakes out the cobwebs and attracts attention and then seems to go to a better offer again. Starting to think Cody doesn't really respect us, we are a training ground for him.
Don't for one minute blame him for taking the money and a higher level of football at Coventry. Who of us wouldn't do the same.
In fairness to Cody, I did not think he had a lot of say in previous moves. Thinking back I thought Norwich City more or less stuck him out in the cold because of their huge demands for him. If memory also serves me correctly I think it was Peterborough who were reported to have found the asking price to high and they were Championship at the time. Hence then along comes Coventry, well we do not need to go into their financial situation do we. So as I see it Cody was bound by contractual terms and us and the Posh basically did not want to pay the asking price of Norwich City. The problem then become that Cody was left sitting the whole situation out, so not sure what he was supposed to do.
I think we are just doing what all fans do... Think he is signing and we can't stop raving about him Think he isn't and we all start thinking about the negatives! To be honest I'd be happy with Cody but I couldn't blame Mad Dog if he's looking around for other options, not to be too negative but if you take THAT season out of his car rear he would have a very poor goalscoring record. In Mad Dog we trust and I'm sure we will get a very good striker, if it be cody or not!
