Does anyone think we need adjustments in the Coaching set up , before the season starts ? I personally think we need a coach that would have the potential to take over from Harry at the end of next season , the current set of coaches , Bond , Jordan and certainly not Downes don't appear to have that capabilities. This is where Steve Mclaran was the obvious choice. Any thoughts who should join the coaching set up with this type of potential to takeover ?
When Arry goes, I think Bond and Jordan will also go. So whoever comes in can bring their own favourites with them.
I personally would like to see harry move to a director of football type status and we could bring in a malky mckay/ sreve clarke/steve mclaren typ character to take us forwards.
Is now an opportunity to upgrade with at least one new coach that could/should take over the reigns such as a Malky , Colin Pascoe type
Go get Glen Hoddle if he wants to get back into coaching we would be a good stepping stone for him just like Shtevvvvvvve.
They are all out of contract next summer but I think they will be gone by Xmas if they even start the season. They will be on a short leash as it won't cost much to sack them. No way will we be able to pick the wrong side and formation and then be able to change it at ht when still in the game. Other teams will be out of sight if we start games like we did in the champ. The tombola will fail!
I think we need a good tactician to come in and work with Harry, one who is as good as McLaren. That would be ideal. Harry could be the man manager and he could get tactical advice from someone who knows how to analyse teams and break them down.
I think you are well off. Tony has put his faith in Harry and has said on many occasions says he wants consistency. So harry will be around until the end of next year. I think most people on this site wants Harry to stay the season.
This is the coaching team that got spurs to fourth in the Premier League. I think they will be fine. Not sure what every ones problem with Wally is either. As far as i am aware he is our defensive coach, seems to be doing a bloody good job
Maybe now but what if we haven't won in months while playing like crap? A poll I saw the day after the win stated one third still wanted him gone. It won't take a lot to turn that into a majority.
Quite. This worshiping of McClaren and everyone else that's laid out a few cones at some point, at the expense of our own coaching staff, is cringeworthy. They weren't queuing up to suck Shhteve's ball sack when he was making a farce of England and more recently Forest. Glenn Hoddle??? And you have people talking about looking forward? For fukk's sake. Whoever started this thread needs stringing up. You don't need to give the HH brigade any invitation to sh*t on the current setup but when you do they're like moths to a flame.
