Clubs on Hall alert Defender out of contract in the summer By Pete O'Rourke - Follow me: @skysportspeteo. Last Updated: October 26, 2011 10:10am Hall's current deal expires at the end of the season and as yet no new contract has been agreed between both parties. The 30-year-old has impressed for QPR this season upon their return to the Premier League, helping them to a clean sheet in Sunday's win over Chelsea. The giant central defender has a wealth of Premier League experience from his time at Southampton, Crystal Palace and Wigan and a host of sides are believed to be weighing up a move for Hall. QPR would be loath to lose Hall at the end of the season, but risk seeing him leave on a free transfer if they cannot tie him down to a new contract. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11711/7266668/
If fans from other clubs are reading this, I just want to say that Hall is 100% consistent and reliable, the rock upon which our defence last season (the best in the Championship) was built, and if we lose him, then matches at Loftus Road won't be the same for me because...I'm sorry, I'm going to have to stop typing - my nose has just just shot out and hit the screen...
We have a lot of contracts up this summer for fringe players that we need to get off the books , this is just one more for me. Bassong in for me. I see Newcastle are after Ridgewell, he is another we should be after. I believe that will be Cook , Ageymang , Vine, Rowlands , ****tu , Ramage , Borrowdale and now Hall all out of contract. Some decent wages we are paying there for players that should'nt be near our team. Bit of wheeling and ealing to be done in Jan i reckon. Surely we must try and get a couple of quid for some of these.
I don't understand all the flack he gets. He is a bit of an inconsistant player and get do some really silly things but at other times he can be great. Can anyone honestly say they haven't seen some good performances from him? What I'm trying to say is that we've had A LOT worse. What did he do wrong on Sunday? Was he worse than everyone else?
Hall was rooted to the spot and let Anelka have the easier header he will ever had and could have cost us the win!..Hill in for Hall and Traore back in please
Only Hall's fault then, nothing to do with Anton?? Or Paddy? There were one or two on the PL channel who blamed Paddy for allowing Anelka that header, and wondering what Paddy was doing routed on his line for a cross, just 3 meters off it.
Halls marking on that was as bad as the week before with Samba. He does not stay close enough to the forward. Saying that Kennys incapable of coming for crosses. This will cost us this season, but hopefully not too much.
Bandwagon Fickle Pack of Wolves Respect him for he has served us well He has got his stripes in my book
TBGWTDT yes but he's injury prone and just not up to the level needed I'm afraid. Thanks Fitz and good luck getting a mega bucks deal at Leicester
Too inconsistant for me. When he's bad he's ****ing tragic, when he's good he's half decent and when he finds a run of form he ends up on the treatment table!!
I remember the first time I saw Hall play, he was in Dowie's oldham side we beat on the way to the play off final against cardiff. He couldn't keep out Paul Furlong that night, but he looked good at that level. Funny how things turn out!
