But they haven't accepted it. But they want to place on record etc. The King is dead. Long live the King. Billy Davies hasn't been mentioned in all the names yet.
I hope that's a joke. Whatever terms, how bitter he leaves us on, we'd be in a much worse place had he never come here.
Oh absolutely. He will always receive a heroes welcome whenever he returns to Carra Rud and will always be remembered as one of the best managers we've ever had, a thoroughly decent and good guy and when the dust settles I'll gladly wish him all the best for his future and be eternally grateful for everything he has done. However the dust hasn't even started settling yet, this still smarts and so right now I'll stick by what I said. **** him, ****er
Sure, I am certainly a little upset that after all the adoration our fans gave him he has left us in such a bitter and to be honest disrespectful way, and that will probably be the natural reaction of all our supporters, but after the knee-jerk emotions clear up I'm sure most people will realise that we should have been glad he was here at all rather than angry that he isn't here anymore.
Paul Lambert offers to resign as Norwich City manager, although the Premier League side say they have not accepted his resignation while discussions with another club take place. A Norwich statement reads: "The Club regrets to confirm that Paul Lambert has offered his resignation from his position as Norwich City Manager. "We have fought hard to keep Paul at Norwich City and have not accepted his resignation whilst discussions with another club are taking place. "However, whatever happens, we want to place on record our sincere gratitude for everything Paul has done for the Club over the last three fantastic seasons."
Make of this what you will, but a reliable source is saying Lambert applied for our job after Grayson was sacked. Maybe things aren't as rosy at Norwich as they seem.
im not holding my breath, but he is still our official manager. So from what i can gather he has spoken to Norwich/DM before going off and speak to AV. Unlikely, but he could still turn them down.
Do you think this the start of the a downward spiral for you or do you think the platform built by Lambert will keep the club at a simaliar level
Agree 100% He did it to Colchester and we knew he'd do it to us. The difference is we won't still be on the Villa board in three years time spouting crap to their fans, unlike a certain person.
Laugh all you want, the guy's generally very reliable. Says he was sworn to secrecy while Lambert was still Norwich manager, and it would explain why his odds on taking our job dropped so dramatically at one point. Maybe his family just isn't happy in East Anglia?
