Makes a good read and we get to know our opponents a bit better.

    Here's ours

    Manager: Sean O'Driscoll

    Last season: 24th (Championship)

    Best summer signing: Jay Emmanuel-Thomas

    One to watch: Jordan Wynter

    Bristol City

BBC Points West's Alistair Durden: "City will be expected to challenge for promotion straight back to the Championship and head coach Sean O'Driscoll has spent the summer trying to change the mindset of a club that has been fighting relegation over the last few seasons.

"He has remodelled his squad with an emphasis on younger players on their way up in the game. A lot of transfer business was done early on, and if the Robins boss can coax consistent performances out of Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, City will have one of the division's best players.

"The former Arsenal trainee found his best form under O'Driscoll at Doncaster and although a lack of goals is still a slight concern, the need for a dominant centre-back was ended by signing giant defender Aden Flint from Swindon.

"They will not be the finished article on 3 August, but this young squad of players should grow in their understanding of each other over the season."

I feel it is a bit downbeat. I have more hope for this season than at any time since GJ was in charge. COYR

That is a true reflection of the current state of play this squad is not yet complete or the finished article shy 1 striker and one midfielder and a backup CB/RB Wilson as the reserve for these positions is frightening. Carey is never going to be able to play every match of a season and can no longer play at RB anyway.

'I have more hope for this season'

    I don't.
This 'new way of playing' with Kilkenny involved is doomed to fail.
No Marvin or Kelly in CM will leave our back 4 under constant pressure.
    Half way at best.

<ok> I hope they can prove there worth, Wynter im fairly confident about, He can be our new Elliott and due to his arsenal days know how to pass the ball more effectively. Pack will be a better version of skuse, Someone who can tackle but who can also get forward into dangerous positions and I've heard he's great at set pieces too.

    Here's hoping!

From what I've seen of the new players in pre season they all look good additions. Wynter looks a bloody good young player.

    Has Pack signed?

Wynter I agree is a player to watch, and to be honest if Adomah goes I can see Reid playing in a 3 pronged attacking midfield position with Wagstaff and JET all swapping positions throughout.
Kelly I think has hit a massive hole in our plans, I would off thought he was going to be captain and help Wynter bed into the club.
