You place too much importance on yourself, but that is your prerogative and bothers me not at all. If I feel strongly about something I will express my views, not claiming who is right or wrong, the fact that you get defensive immediately just shows that anyone with a big mouth and a loud voice will always dominate. Since you fit that bill in my opinion my views were expressed concisely and to the point. Now you can have the last word and feel good.
