Can't help thinking I'd like us to beat Citeh and crash their title challenge just because of what these two clowns said about leaving Arsenal for trophies. I don't mind Kolo Toure winning as he is a gentlemen, and I think he should have been kept instead of the toxic Gallas.

Trouble is it would mean United winning, but even so I would rather this because Citeh's approach of buying the title is an anathema tothe Arsenal way.

Also beating them would I think make it less likely that RVP would go to them.

Yup, if City finish second and we finish third, Van Persie will look at City and go, "Well what the **** is the point of this?"

United winning the league doesn't really matter to me, they deserve it for their constant ability to grind out results.

If City fail to win the league, Sheikhs will give them another 500 ml to splash on players, incl RVP.

United have won the PL 12 out of 19 times. One more is not going to be hard to take for the rest of us. So I have no problem with them winning. If City did it then it would hard to take.

I remember a post on the Citeh board a while back where some chap said that "Nasri and Clichy no longer played for chokers". Well we'll see now. We at Arsenal know over the last 4 years that the run-in jangles the nerves, and Spurs and Citeh are finding that out.

I still think we need to keep focus because we've been in decent positions before only to fall badly. Let's hope we have learnt, and let's acknowledge what a lot said back in October that to finish top 4 with this squad would be Wenegrs greatest achievemnt, but let's not count our chickens.

  7. I would hate to see City win anything. They are a complete disgrace.

  8. Its also not too late to catch City. Would take a huge effort and we'd have to beat them, leaving us 11 points adrift with 9 games to make it up.

If City crumble - its possible.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves! It would be possible, but we have to play Stoke and Everton Away, and Chelsea at home, and I'm sure we'll drop at least 3 points from those 3 games.

  10. Improbable for sure - but there is a chance that City implode. How will a bunch of mercs react when things get tough?

I don't know why fans hate Man U so much, I mean, I don't like them, but I'd rather see them win it than any of our other rivals. Its not even close !!

  12. I have little respect for the way City is run. Their manager who hasn't a clue about man management spends a king's ransome buying players who exhibit such poor away form. That said I like Utd, their manager and some of their arrogant players even less. Oh how I wish we were better prepared at the start of this season and in January. We may well have done an ' Alain Prost ' on the top two - winning by stealth. Still, that to me sums up our approach over these seven years. There or thereabouts which isn't enough. The fightback currently though could I hope, be a turning of the tables.

I'd say United have earned the right to be arrogant though. Liverpool live in the past too much, Chelsea and City are spending/have spent their way upwards, Spurs are the mortal enemy.

By the way, how excited are you about the start of the F1 season ? I didn't realise I'd get the Sky F1 channel for free, what a result - in HD. Got my SkyGo app working for my phone, I am set for Practice 1 ! So glad Sky got Martin Brundle and Ted Kravitz and glad I don't have to listen to that cock Jake Humphrey, he's barely finished puberty but talks like he is some veteran of Formula 1 - and his bloody puns at every opportunity grate on me !!

Can't stand the way they've gone about things either.

On another note, anyone able to bear watching Nasri playing? How's he doing there? I assume/hope pants. I noticed Clichy is playing less than he was too...

Seconded. I'd back them to beat Liverpool/Spurs/Chelski/City any day of the week. Do I like them - f*ck off! However, it's like I've been conditioned to accept them though over the years!

I'd prefer Man Citeh to win the league.

Would piss off the Man U fans.
    Would piss off Fergie.
Would show that the league can be bought, thus undermining any of Chelsea's victories.
Would mean that yet another side has won the title more recentlky than Spurs.

This Man U side is awful and doesn't deserve to win the league (although that was also true last year).

we should beat city purely for the three points we need so badly after such a poor year

forget nasri/clichy they left to further their chances of silverware and good luck to them, in truth most players aspiring to the top would need to leave us as cesc proved as well.

if rvp seriously wants to win something he has to seriously look at things at the club despite a recent good run were so far off the top its awful, next year! its always next year .... man city have been real contenders for the title weve been also rans

i want to beat city not to aid manure but to aid our challenge to overhaul spurs .... if that mucks up the money merchants then nice side show but not the main event for me

p.s agree with magic man, worst man u side for years .... but they can still take 6points of us and be light years ahead in the table and probably win the thing .... strange world we live in i guess

HH agree with that, but the guys have shown belated balls recently, just if you want to play with the men for the big stakes hitting form in february ain't cutting it.

DOn't hate ManU - used to feel sorry for them back in the 80s after several failed attempts. Always loved their style of play.

Plus their board held teh nerve to back their manager, so fair play to them.

The positive thing about Citeh is that having another club in the mix makes thing a lot more interesting - the chase for 3rd/4th is far better now than when it was nailed on Arsenal/LFC/Chelsea/ManU.

But I would prefer United to win it, then of course us next year before Citeh (inevitably) win it.
