Badminton England are a pretty good governing body to work for by the way... Even after their funding cut <ok>

I sit in my office envious of the level of investment they can still throw around as the sport that I work for could only dream of the level of money at their disposal and the standing that they have within British sport

Very good reason for that KoPR, badminton, rowing, yachting and several other sports are the playground of the ruling class. I'm all for massive investment in sport, but some of the cuts that have taken place when it's clear we're onto something as a nation are staggering. Grass roots sport will always be far harder to find funding for because the payback is not so tangible and funders want ROI and results not just to do good.

Hampie- I don't think you can put badminton in the same catagory as the other sports you mention.Firstly it is a mass participation sport and secondly most people have access via local authority sports centres and the investment for equipment etc is minimal.Neither of which can be said for rowing or sailing.
