Not really sure what the fans are trying to achieve here. It's not the same situation as Hodgson at Liverpool (who we at least gave a chance) because your owner isn't exactly struggling for cash like H&G and unlike FSG the manager was the owner's choice. Besides I think that the owner has the exact same attitude as Rafa
Well it's only marginally more futile than booing him and probably less counter-productive for the team. With hindsight I'm sure he regrets saying what he did about Chelsea but was it really a big enough deal to warrant this and were his comments that inaccurate anyway? If you really want to make a point, vote with your feet.
Never said that I would boo him, I don't mind him tbh. I think he is better tactically that Di Matteo. I'm just telling you what will happen, he will be booed a lot.
Don't agree, Why should some fat Spanish waiter stop me from watching my team? I will register my disapproval until he goes at the end of the season. And trust me he will be very happy to go to.
Because if you really want him out, bearing in mind he's almost certainly gone in six months or so anyway, then it's the only thing that might work, though obviously it would have to happen en masse. As for being happy to go at the end of the season I honestly doubt it. He's got thick skin and a few thousand people booing him is going to do little. It will stop in a few weeks when the novelty has worn off and you're winning games.
Fans of Chelsea must confront Roman and tell him: CHELSEA IS OUR CLUB NOT YOURS Come on. Unless you face up to a bully, you'll be constantly downtrodden and ignored. Did he take into account your feelings? Does he care about what you think of who manages YOUR club? If you protest against once or twice he will get the message and be more reasonable. Are you going to sit there just watch him roll over you? The glazers get protests against them. As much as I loathe the scousers, they at least stand up for their club. No f*cking American or other foreign owners could ride roughshod over their wishes...
"Fans of Chelsea must confront Roman and tell him: CHELSEA IS OUR CLUB NOT YOURS" Really? And what puts you into a position to tell us what to do? Is this how you go about giving advice in your life generally?
You guys seemed to like your losers' flags after the cup final taking them home in Lidl carrier bags. Also, first club to issue plastic flags: Lierpool v dinamo Bucharest 1984
Roman owns the club and we will voice our opinions as we deem appropriate. We won't all agree but we are Chelsea fans together. When we need advice about what's going on we'll seek advice from each other. Doubt you'll be high on the secondary list. The only person trying to bully anyone is you: "Come on. Unless you face up to a bully, you'll be constantly downtrodden and ignored. Did he take into account your feelings? Does he care about what you think of who manages YOUR club? If you protest against once or twice he will get the message and be more reasonable. Are you going to sit there just watch him roll over you?"
Maybe we need a big plastic flag saying " Roman out, take Buck and Gourley with you, but please leave the chequebook "
Actually it is his club - it is not the fans club. The fans support the club - that's it, they either take it or leave it. This is the world of high finance and football in the third millennium. Why do you think he is a bully - if the guy hires someone for a million or two a year and he doesn't think much of his performance then it's his right to fire him. There are some very basic mis-understandings of the modern game in your post.
To be honest there are worse things in life than Benitez at Chelsea, I really don't give a penguin's. A good manager helps, but the players aren't children, their performance is down to them.
