Clarkes 1st team selection

The news on Radio Bristol said Clarke could be making FIVE changes to the starting 11 that got easily beat at Fleetwood.

What 5 changes will he make then?

There are reports that Harrold looks set to miss out due to another injury. That should be 1 change. Who could be the other 4 players?

So parkes has been dropped and replaced in CB by woodards and mccrystal made captain

 

I don't think we missed Parkes. Woodards had a good game.

 

But we were still pretty bad and a draw would have been a fair result.

We didn't deserve it. Both sides were as bad as each other so a draw would've been a fair result. The goal was our only bit of quality going forward all afternoon.

 

Good to see a clear formation (4-4-2) with two strikers up front.

 

Clarkson isn't the answer for me. I think we should try Beardsley and Gillespie up top tomorrow.

PS the game was still ****, and the tactics were not much better if you ask me

 

It was a very poor game with just that last-minute moment of quality to send Gasheads home with a smile on our faces.

God knows what Clarkson is doing - he is one of our highest-paid and most experienced strikers, but he just doesn't deliver often enough. I find this very frustrating as when he's on song, he's a very good player.

I have to agree with Chris - I think we should play Beardsley and Gillespie up front tomorrow, but they're not exactly goal machines! I think Clarke should start with Mohamed and Harrison on the flanks. Quite frankly I think that he should start Norburn in the middle of the park. Lockyer and Clarke are ok at breaking up play, but they lack an incisive pass to get our forwards going. Norburn is probably our best passer of the ball, so maybe it's time to rehabilitate him?

Am I right in thinking that JJOT is back tomorrow?

 

Yep JJOT is back, so hopefully he will add that desired spark. I agree with you BB, Norburn needs to start.

Fairly attacking (as much as can be with our squad!) but still solid at the back. Harsh on the kids that play in the middle I would agree, but they can come on when we are 2 nil up with 20 to go

Funny that us fans all seem to rate Norburn, but John Ward has never really been that keen on him.

 

I haven't rated him on what I've seen. Similar to JJ without the goals!
