I thought for a moment he was quitting as a BBC pundit... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17992255
I never really thought he started as a pundit - always considered his more like that drunk waffling bloke you find in pubs who has an over-egged view of his own opinions. I've noticed that even Maniche hides on a balcony until it becomes absolutely necessary to sit with him.
The worse part of the prospect of relegation is having that ****'s opinion of our games every week again!...
I heard a strange rumour that the BBC was trying to offload the Football League coverage because it cost too much(?) - seriously! I really can't see how it can break the budget and as for Claridge, I wouldn't even give him a penny for his two pence worth.
Claridge has a long history of being overpaid, Weymouth went tits-up after he was their Player-Manager on a six figure salary...
I hope you're not mocking him - that Weymouth job has given him all the insight he needs for a long and successful media career.... [ahem]
