    Manchester City new signing defender Gael Clichy believes they are "big contenders" to win the Premier League.

    However listen to the breaking news. According to the BBC, Manchester City have agreed to Carlos Tevez going to Corinthians. Roberto Mancini has said that an agreement has been reached for the sale of Argentina striker Carlos Tevez.

    Win the league Gael? No chance now!!!!! Lol.

    Maybe they are deluded enough to think they didn't need Tevez to get in the CL, despite carrying them on several occasions.

    It remains to be seen, though Clichy is just igniting hope, he probably doesn't believe it.

    He's pretty much gotta say that tbh. He can hardly turn around and say "Arsenal and City will probably fight it out for third place this year, the only reason I joined City is for the money"

    2 years ago he says a player would only go to City for money,now he's sayin he went for trophies.He hasn't got clue.

    In my opinion, Clichy is the most overrated LB in Europe and City have weakened their back 4 by signing him

    Aguero is a much better player than Tevez IMO.He may not have the spirit of Tevez but he certainly has a lot more ability.Its just a matter of whether he can adapt to a more physically demanding league, to which there will certainly be a settling in period which may cost them come May.

    I dont think anyone will worry too much about Dzeko and Bibotelli leading their attack.

    <laugh> Bibotelli, that's a good one. If City do sign Aguero, the cry baby will throw a massive tantrum and probably request a transfer to AC Milan

    Lets be honest though he has taken a step up from Arsenal. City have overtaken Arsenal now. Arsenal are becoming a selling club while City are beginning to compete for trophies. I don't think we should begrudge him this move.

    He isn't a hypocrite but he does look like a **** for saying that.
