QPR striker Djibril Cisse insists he will show no mercy against former club Liverpool on Wednesday night. The Frenchman made more than 75 appearances during a three-year spell with the Reds, scoring 24 goals, helping them to the Champions League and FA Cup. Cisse, who has scored twice in three games for Rangers, admits he still has a soft spot for Liverpool, but says sentiment will go out of the window as he looks to boost QPR's survival bid at Loftus Road. He said: âAll my trophies I won with Liverpool, it's a special club for me, but for an hour and a half, there is no mercy. âIt's my club to be honest, but when the whistle blows that feeling will disappear.â Cisse left Liverpool under a cloud and later claimed he was forced out of the club by boss Rafa Benitez. But the 30-year-old insists he has nothing to prove against his former employers. âIt was difficult to leave because it wasn't my decision,â he said. âRafa Benitez told me 'you're not in my plans', so I had to leave. âI was really sad because I did well in the short time that I played, and I thought I deserved better treatment. But that's the way it was and I have to accept it. âI don't feel like I have a point to prove to Liverpool because the staff has changed, and a lot of players have changed. If it was the same staff, then I definitely would.â Cisse moved to Marseille before returning to England in a season-long loan spell at Sunderland. However, he later moved to Panathinaikos and Lazio before returning to England with QPR in January. And he insists he's got unfinished business in the Premier League. He added: âI didn't really have the chance to show what I can do. I'm starting to find my way with the team. âI feel like I can do much better and I feel like I'm built for this league. I have things to prove. âNow all the games are finals for us, and we have to win. If you want to stay up, you have to win games.â Read More http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/lo...erpool-downfall-82029-30569273/#ixzz1pYpUp68r
Hope he walks the walk because he certainly talks the talk..........Ok ,the winner against reds and im president of his fanclub!
Wednesday night will hail the coming of the new Rangers. This will be the first in a series of matches that will ignite our season. Get ready for some fantastic football coming to HQ this season. We will be talking about these last ten games for years to come.
QPR is full of twitters more interested in what they say rather than what they do... Watch us get overrun Wed and the crowd go silent
Our team have to "click" sometimes and i hope it will happen before next season. Wednesday night would be an excellent day to be happen!
One of the reasons why we love football will become evident on Wednesday. A Taarabt wonder goal within seven minutes will raise the roof off LR. A gallant and brave fightback by The Milk Cup Champions will only be in vain. But the Rangers faithful and a great team performance will be enough to witness a 3-2 victory to the R's. A one nil victory away to Sunderland will follow, and this in turn will render the hordes of negative posters on this board to proclaim that we knew we could do it all along.
Cisse - No Mercy ... he needs the ball first thats the first problem The second is he needs a blind linesman as he is technically always offside
That was so last week. We must forget the past, and the future hasn't happened. ( Except in my mind.) We must live in the now!!! And the now shall bring a mighty victory against the 'Mighty Liverpool.' Believe, my pedigree chums.
Not really sure about he's comments as I was not really expecting him to dribble past several players with the goal at his mercy only to be overcome with guilt and kick the ball over the bar from a yard out? COYRSssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Our only chance is to have one of our players shot at home ... we may regain some public sympathy and some much needed confidence. Who gets it?
FJ, have been trying to resist posting in response to one of yours but this is a step too far. When a person is ill or dying, the worst thing anyone can do is rob that individual of hope. Just about every post I've read from you is about how poor we are, how we are going to get thrashed and, of course, that relegation is a done deal. You know, you may even be right but I'd rather go down with a bit of hope, perhaps listening to the Titanic band on the deck, rather than have the life blood of hope sucked out of me. Are you an errant Dementor trying to find its way back to the Harry Potter web page?!
2 sides of one coin mate! D Oddball (optimist) T. = F Oddball (pessimist) J. Or Dave, perhaps the F O J, means Fekk Off pessimist, and reincarnate now the Optimist - can't wait the 16 days or whatever it is - we need to win now!
