Have to say i'm disappointed that we've agreed to let him go permanently.

Can see him scoring a lot of goals for Wolves.

Looks like we'll be chasing Troy 'I've got a face that wants punching repeatedly' Deeney then - personally I'd keep Wood as I think he's still got a lot more to come but Np is the manager not me!

Great, I'll have loads of gloating wolves fans in my ear now. Loan makes much more sense in case this season doesn't go as planned. Maybe we've got someone lined up to come in, not Deeney hopefully.

I wouldnt. Seen him twice in pre season and he looks like he doesnt want to play for us. Comes a long way behind our first 3 strikers in Ulloa, Nuge and Vardy. Deeney, despite the fact that he wasnt a very likeable guy would be a much greater threat in the Prem.

He has looked a handful whenever he has come on, very disapointing.

Hope we have a big sell on clause

I'd prefer to send him out on loan, but agree that if he doesn't want to be here he's not worth it, especially if it frees space up for another attacker eg. Slimani or Deeney. Wood's becoming a bit of a journeyman at a young age.

Until you casually remind them what league they play in of cause! Deeney would not be a good move IMO but that said I'm pretty sure Nige knows what he's doing. Leaves us short though so hopefully we will be signing a couple more before Saturday.

Sky Sports have jumped the gun, it would seem, on Wood to Wolves. No deal done but Wolves very much interested.

Shame if he goes, a very good player and still only 22.

Loaning him would be our best bet as if he scores 20 goals and we do go down then we have a quality striker to come back in. Whats £2M to a prem club?

If he goes tits up and is worth nothing in a year so what, better then losing him on the cheap

I dont really rate him that highly. His an upgraded version of Gallagher. One hell of a shot and cross but apart from that he dont really do enough to warrant paying his price tag

Also a position we're pretty well covered in. I rate both Knockaert and Mahrez more highly and they both play the same position, although Sako would make a decent replacement for Dyer. I'd like to see us go in for Serge Gnabry though if we're looking for a winger, apparently he's available on loan. So is Wilfried Zaha.

Why sell the boy at such a young age. Let him out on a season long loan and if he bags 20 goals his value would double at least. Not sure he is ready for the Premiership but needs a full season playing games in the championship

Not sure they have much to gloat about. They do know we are PREMIER league and possibly about to sign CAMBIASSO!
I suppose they have Richard Stearman <laugh>
