When Chris Webb first became Club President I suggested that he couldn't continue posting on pasoti has if he was still one of the lads.

This has now happened and he is withdrawing from the day to day posting of comments on all the things that the good and the bad throw at him.

It is a shame that he did not stand back at the begining and just concentrated on posting the "Presidents Monthly Update".

Being one of the inner circle both on the Fans side and with his club position was always going to put him in a........ " to be shot at position".........which would bring hassle and unpleasantness at times.

So it's a pity that that has happened and brought him personal grief.........lets hope it settles down and these two so called Argyle fan groups start to consider that PAFC is the more important thing to talk about and support.

Having checked out pasoti and ADT comments on Chris Webb's reasons for not posting regularly on the these websites............I've come to the conclusion that he his damned if he does and damned if he doesn't............in hindsight withdrawing from the begining of his tenure as Club President would have been the correct thing for him to have done.

Having read some of the threads posted on his decision, I personally feel that there are definately some weird types out there..........my present conclusion is that posting on ADT is not something I want to do anymore and have cancelled my involvement.........I cannot condone some of the things said.

Regarding pasoti.............I might eventually do the same.............there is a main central hub of users there that are obviously in their own little world........and see themselves as above reproach and important.

Just my personal feeling on the issue.

I am happy to puruse both sites for news but I would not join either due to the attitude of some posters.

Stay here and be happy Plymborn.

He is only damned by his own actions plymborn. If you are going to hold the title of Club President as a supporter then it is obvious to anyone that you have to accept a level of responsibility that goes with it. What Chris Webb has attempted to do is swing in one direction as a supporter and President. You cannot deride a faction of the support base on one hand and favour another. He is either club president for all or nothing. The guy deserved some sort of recognition, along with others I might add, for the effort he put in which was above and beyond a lot of us. I supported by donating cash but not with my time. Each to their own in my view and both were important at the time. But, he has lost his way since and it seems so has PASOTI. ATD on the other hand no doubt has subscribers who also supported in some way or other but have now become a base for the disallusioned. As much as PASOTI is all loved up with both itself and Chris Webb, and you could throw in Brent as well, ATD feels almost obliged to be the anti christ and belittle anything that it can at times. They are entitled to an opinion and far be it from me to try to suggest they don't express one. But the war between the two has embroiled Webb and his sidekick Newell and the President at least should have refrained from getting involved. The situation between the two is pathetic in my book even if there is history. PASOTI should get on with being itself and ATD the same. Webb has not in my book proved himself to be impartial or a good President and it was in my view a mistake to give him his accolade. He clearly can't resist being in the limelight now and it is becoming more about the individuals than the club. Any criticism is met with abuse which also can't be right. It drives people with an alternative view to the other site and their opinions become entrenched rather than subjective. I will like a number of people visit both of those boards from time to time but I can't ever see me becoming a regular contributor to them and will never sign up to PASOTI at all because of their treatment of anyone who opposes the party line. This is a much gentler site and sadly there are not more who come on with their views than we have. But, again, as a preference I vote for not606 everytime. Without getting sentimental about it, it is more like a family site than the other two and we can have a small argument about things without it ever becoming personal. As long as Gat and Mrs lalala have the last word of course...

Thats nice to hear bruv.........never had a brother or sister before..........makes me all warm inside.......ahhhhhh.

I hope that Webb has learnt his lesson...............it always surprised me that he as a union negotiator felt he could still be one of the lads..........you can't join the management and expect the same standing to exist from before. He comments that one situation is being investigated by the police...........if that is so good grief what the hell is going on.

Good job we're not at war with another clubs fans isn't it.
