I thought he was class tonight, he was calm on the ball unlike Cahill, our number 12 did well against Neymar.

He certainly performed better in the audition than Cahill.

Agreed, that was his first start at Wembley since the head injury he suffered against Holland last year, we're lucky to have him, i said at the time when he joined us, he was going to be a top quality player for us and i've been proven right.

On Cahill, i hope he gets criticised De Gea style but he won't because he doesn't play for Manchester United.

He had one shake moment with his backpass to Hart after the goal, but he was decent the rest of the match, coped fairly well with their attackers.

I still think Rio should have been the first choice central defender to partner one of the younger guys in Terry's absence.

One of the genius Scousers picked out 4 bad performances...Smalling, Cleverley, Welbeck, Cahill...no bias there then!

In fairness, Welbeck was ****e so they got one right at least. I thought Cahill was pretty good other than the obvious mistake for the goal.

Welbeck was ****e. Cahill made two mistakes, one which lead to the goal, the other Smalling covered for him, other than that he played well. Cleverley did nothing wrong and a few things right, it's odd that the Scousers don't "get" Cleverley seeing as they are lauding a player like Joe Allen and the new style of football that Rodgers has invented. Smalling hardly put a foot wrong against BRAZIL (not San Marino).
