Rumour doing the rounds on Twitter and local media in Lancashire apparently that we are preparing a bid of £3Million, yes THREE MILLION! For Chris Eagle of Burnley, formerly of Man Utd!

£3M is way too much IMO and maybe too similar to Gally?

Not too sure what he would offer us as never followed him closely...

    Thoughts??

From what I read FoxesTalk it doesn't sound too likely.

Not a bad player though, not sure where Sven would use him, I think he can play out wide or in an attacking midfield role.

Am I the only one who thinks the wingers we are being linked to are a bit too...white? <laugh>

Burnley fans slated him at the Walkers this season. Personally I thought he was one of their most creative players during the Claret whooping. Blows hot and cold though. Hence no major Prem interest. Pass on it Sven....

I've always wondered, how do you "prepare a bid of £3M"?

surely you just write £3M on a fax with a players name and two tick boxes, yes or no. and surely you wouldn't leave it lying around on your desk for others to see.

Besides weren't Everton preparing a bid for Eagles?

We all know Sven likes Curtis Davies and now with Birmingham relegated and Alex McLeish leaving do you think Sven might make a bid. We are lacking on centre halfs. Im not saying i want him as i dont but i think Sven might

I wouldn't mind him back, but personally I think Curtis is a pretty similar style of player to Hobbs.

Then again, he signed for them in January, and now they are relegated, that's not positive! although he only played in 6 games.

I guess that if hes still not going to get in the starting 11 each week, then he would be more than happy to play first team football with us, although he has 3 years left on his contract at Brum, so could be costly.

I bet if he goes anywhere, it will be to another lower league prem side

Curtis is better in possession of the ball than Jack is. Defensively they're about equal (when Davies can be bothered) but I would be surprised if Birmingham would sell him given they released Jiranek and told Johnson he can leave. Add to that Scott Dann is being linked with Liverpool.

Eagles is a good player, always liked him, but as has been said he is a little too similar to Gally. One of his Burnley teammates I would go after, though, is Ross Wallace. Brilliant player.

Burnley fans seem to think he's very inconsistent and often lazy...

Eagles. I thought he was a good player but then again I've only seen him play a handful of times.

    I'd like Rodriguez from Burnley.

I seem to remember he had a move to Rangers fall through last season, and never really got really in to last season, and he was very disappointing at the Walkers. May have just become stale with Burnley, new manager, etc.
