Can i be the first one to say, GET IN THERE!!!!!!! Chops signs a three year deal and is now an official Town Player, let this be the first of many!
Made me laugh when he said after talking to some of the players, the club's ambition was clear. So what exactly is that ambition, not to flirt with relegation this season
All the best Chops and thanks for the memories. Putting my personal feelings aside (wouldn't want to bring you guys down), If PJ can get inside his head and he sorts himself out, Chops could be the 20+ goal a season player I remember once again (as long as none of them are against us ) All the best Tractor Boys.
very much worth the punt at that price. Amazing that just 12 months ago Keano was getting hot under the collar because we wouldn't match Cardiff's £4 million asking price. Funny old game football..........
Great price for a proven scorer. Now lets give him the ammo. Bring in Treacy and Green and i still beleive Bullard will return. Its looking good again
Hopefully we now sign a few players in the next month. Personally, I can't help but feel excited about this signing. Ok, he only got 11 goals last year, but he was up against the likes of Jay Bothroyd and of course Craig Bellamy
11 goals is still a better return than our strikers! Personally think this could be a fantastic signing on a great price. Fingers crossed!
To be fair, Scotland got 10 goals. I believe he can still be good cover and get a few goals for us off the bench. Don't get me wrong, I am delighted to sign Chopra and I feel he can fire us up the table. However, he had great players round him at Cardiff e.g. Whittingham, Koumas, Bellamy. For Chops to be a success, we need players who can provide better service than Leadbitter, Martin ect. Fortunately, Jewell has recognized this and players like Treacy are perfect. All in all, a good signing and an excellent start, but we need to get a lot more players in before the start of the season
To be fair he only got 11 goals last season because he was injured twice and both time spent a bit of time out meaning that he then found it hard to get back in the team for a start as mentioned above because of the competition for places. Secondly and more importantly he was never given a little run to get any sort of form going. Chops has always been a good player for Cardiff and was a fans favourite so thanks Chops and all the best. Now one word of warning for some reason things never seem to work out for him when he moves from Cardiff many believe it is because he has allot of personal issues that he needs help with Dave Jones credit to him was good with this type of player and got the best out of him. So again as said above if PJ can get chops right mentally he will score goals for you. If he cant Chops can quite quickly become a frustrated figure that lets his personal issues affect his game.
