Fully agree Syd but 1-3 at home to Wolves is a F****** joke. Bruce is currently a Muppet of biblical proportions who’s causing me immeasurable grief. Thank goodness I’ll be able to wake up each day knowing for the next 52 weeks that our beloved will still be in the Premiership. KTF

Hear what you are saying syd but, can't agree with it mate.
We can go two ways here keep Bruce and give him more money to get us top ten, realistically 7th or below is about as high as we can hope for.
Or we can get a new manager in (don't know who) give him the money and start all over again with a no relegation threatened season followed by a top ten finish season, putting us a year behind.
For me the injuries have played their part this season but, so have the poor tactics and mind blowingly stupid decisions by both Bruce and the powers that be. No LB for two years, no cover when Bent left which I think has hit us harder than we'd like to think and, finally bringing in far too many loan players.
The loan player situation will hit us hard next season as we now lose them weakening our team even further than was necessary. If Bruce stays fine but, as you say he has to sort out the training regime (which most of us said from about December was the problem) and, be given cash by Short to buy good players. We do not need superstars at SAFC as our most successful times in the PL have been achieved with teams of ordinary but good players who worked for each other and gave their all (Summerbee excepted he was a lazy get but no one could cross a ball better). Look at the teams above us the barcodes, Fulham, Bolton, Stoke etc. all got by this season without big name players that is what we need to do.
I want Bruce gone in the Summer he has done all he can with us but, if he stays then fair enough he'll get my backing as he is the manager of our team but that is it. We will not improve this season from last we will finish below at least 2 teams fresh up from the fizzy pop league that is not acceptable for me and is not progress.

It could be worse I suppose we could be staring at fizzy pop league needing to beat West Ham next week, every cloud and all that.

Syd, you may enjoy the following, apologies if you have seen it before:-

Take a bucket and fill it with water,
Put your hand in it up to the wrist,
Pull it out and the hole that's remaining
Is a measure of how you will be missed.

You can splash all you wish when you enter,
You may stir up the water galore,
But stop and you'll find that in no time
It looks quite the same as before.

This is rather apt for a forum like this - whats the point in self flagellating when the impact of doing so is negligble.

Everyone, for and against has had their say but Syd's right - lots of more interesting things to talk about.

Transfers - Palacios & Hutton from the spuds, Vaughan and Adams from Blackpool, Valencia from Man utd, Rodallega, N'zogbia & Figueroa from Wigan, Cole in part ex for Ferdinand.

    And who to move on?

Valencia? You have got to be joking. We have as much chance of getting him as Wayne Rooney has of becoming Pope.

First two not a hope in hell as is Valencia and Rodellega, Vaughan is a possible good call as well, as for Adam (I think) he'll be off to a bigger club, N'zogbia is not worth the 10mil that some foreign team are reportedly looking at paying for him we won't pay that, Figueroa is a possible God knows we need a LB, I'd take your arm off with the Ferdinand swap for Cole just hope it's Carlton and not Joe mate.
