Apparently. http://metro.co.uk/2016/09/07/this-...racist-advice-for-visitors-to-london-6114115/ According to the pillar of all things journalistic (The Metro) Chinese tourists are being advised that London isn't safe. ‘London is generally a safe place to travel, however precautions are needed when entering areas mainly populated by Indians,Pakistanis and black people. ‘We advise tourists not to go out alone at night, and females always to be accompanied by another person when traveling.’ Not a lot else going on in Metroland today but there are stories of a man who has sex with dogs http://metro.co.uk/2016/09/07/man-who-had-sex-with-staffordshire-bull-terrier-jailed-6115037/ A man in Sydney jailed for licking a burd's ar*e while she was sleeping http://metro.co.uk/2016/09/07/woman...lar-licking-her-buttocks-in-the-dark-6115082/ A pig with a human face and a cock on it's head http://metro.co.uk/2016/09/06/pig-born-with-human-face-and-penis-on-its-head-6112547/
Old people buy papers nowadays. Us younger folk get our news free from hugely unreliable crackpots on social media who fill our heads up with speculation and lies and we form our opinions based on this.
I thought you were supposed to give 50p to the bloke with the can of Special Brew sitting next to the dispenser?
I used to be a regular newspaper purchaser and would usually buy The Independent but before it ceased production it cost £1.60 so I was pleased when they brought out the tabloid version Independent-I for 20p but even this has gone up to 40p now and I don't bother much. The Metro is free as is the Evening Standard, they even give away the NME for free at tube stations now. The printed word is on the decline and I get most of my 'news' stories from 'tinternet. I'll check the news most mornings and will have a look at The Huffington Post which is just like The Metro but dressed up to appear more posh.
