Chemical Spill in Hungary!

Anyone else hoping we finally get some mutants or super-heros out of this one. Even the Toxic Avenger from the Troma movies would do!!

It's ****e that we've had 3 mile island and Chernobyl but no sign of someone with 5 eyes or 9 knobs yet

i remember back before the scotland - ukraine game some one on 606 had a thread about how it was unfair that its been 20 years since chernobyl that there are still no super heroes.

 

When I was in 3rd year at school I was late 4 days in a row and got sent to the Rector. He asked me why I was late and told him that because of the fallout winds from Chernobyl that my internal clock was running 10 minutes behind everyone else. Wee dick didn't see the funny side and made me stay back every day for a week.

Aye, the shutdown got put back two weeks so they phoned me up and begged me to come out. Told them I'd booked my holiday (complete lie was just going to hop a flight to the Dam one morning) and said I'd want a bonus as well as my holiday paid

Got 3 weeks off there and out here for 10-12 days then getting another 4-5 weeks off. It's a license to steal money working offshore

There is a guy out here on £1800 a day!!!!! ****ing nuts. That's £150 an hour. Put it this way; that works out about 6x what I get an hour and I get an above average wage for offshore.

Sometimes it's funny how they deal with money though. We were told it's too expensive to get the newspapers out here every day (even though there has been a system in place since 1978 for the papers) yet they refused to repair that machine I said was broken and it cost them near enough £17 million.

 

the local mayor does'nt seem to worried about the toxic spill, he is actually hoping that drinking some of it will restore his wonderfull smile

I once went on a visit to Hunterston and at the end of the tour everyone was gathered in a room to get a talk about the fabulous benefits of nuclear energy ; I put on a pair of fake crazy eyes - like two ping-pong balls which Id brought just for the occasion - and piped up " I dont know about anyone else but Ive been feeling a bit strange since we visited the reactor room " .............................cue escort from the premises ; theyre very touchy , these nuclear types.

 

Yeah they were a humpty lot up at Dounreay when I went up there for a job a few years back. No craic whatsoever, just moaning, sour-faced ****s
