Bring on Edwards down the left for Harness, Hirst and Chappers not reading each other as Harness dashes about. A few chances for both teams, one sitter for them where our defense looked all over the place. Wind and sun behind us 2nd half.
The wind will be in our favour second half, I reckon that will help us break them down and get a goal or two.
Frustrating half, but a match we’re on top. Cheltenham have no interest in playing for anything other than a draw. The wind behind them that half helped their keeper continually boot the ball out of play to run the clock down. We’ve come close to breaking the deadlock, Harness should’ve scored and would’ve liked Burns to have buried that chance late on. Agree that Harness isn’t in the match and may be disrupting our rhythm. But Cheltenham’s pressing game and narrow pitch is certainly having a negative impact. Hopefully Edwards will come on and open the game up more against tiring Cheltenham legs. I fancy us to score the opener and see out all three points, but can easily see them continuing to frustrate and run the clock down. Lately, we’ve had an answer to teams that sit back and play for the draw. Let’s hope we can find a way to get that all important first goal!
