The world has changed. A lot of them are now subject to banning orders.

<laugh> That goes some way to explaining it. But the complete lack of support from the rest of them is embarrassing.

The Community shield is coming up soon. Arsenal have completely sold out of their allocation, but Chelsea have something like 11,000 tickets still unsold.

Perhaps it's not viewed as such an important trophy by Chelsea fans?

Well I saw on another thread someone claiming Newcastle's Intertoto cup and second division title as serious honours so might as well throw the Emirates Cup in.

  9. Didn't Arsenal lose the Emirates Cup last season?

To lose a competition that you have rigged, and which you play on your own turf, has got to be at the very peak of ****-wittedness! For that alone, the entire Arsenal team, and Wenger, ought to be nominated for inclusion on the "village idiot" list.

I'm not sure I'd travel 200 miles for a televised friendly either

But for Chelsea fans it's a short hop on the tube. Even then they can't be ****ed to turn out and support their club.

Out of interest what are they charging for it? They should sell out, of course, but I really don't blame anyone for not going to a friendly. It'll be slow, crap and probably expensive. Judging by the Arsenal fans I know going it seems to be people who can't normally get tickets for the Wembley games. If I was a Chelsea fan who had been to Wembley a billion times I doubt I'd bother and it's a 20 minute train away for me.

You can get a ticket through the Chelsea website for as little as £20, so there's not really the excuse of expense if you live in the capital and as you say, it's usually a good opportunity for fans who can't normally get tickets for Wembley games.

On their website Chelsea anticipate that their allocation won't be enough to cover the demand for tickets. There's 11,000 reasons why that is a load of bollocks <laugh>

It would be a good opportunity for QPR's away supporters to go to Wembley.

In all seriousness, what is Chelsea's allocation? As we all know they have less than 20,000 loyal fans and a number of them aren't currently allowed to attend football matches.

Really scrapping the barrel with this thread. As a supporter for over 30 years, wouldn't even cross my mind to go and watch them get off a bus for a training session in a different continent. It's a football team not One Direction!

    You wally. <laugh>
