So we have get either Chelsea or Birmingham in the next round of the cup but who would you prefer. Birmingham giving us a better chance of getting to Wembley or the day out at the bridge. If we get Birmingham and lose albeit we got far in the FA Cup it will be pretty disappointing still as we didnt get any decent draws. Chelsea arent unbeatable as proved alot this season, they are in turmoil on and off the pitch, dressing room disputes, John Terry racism case, Fernando Torres cant hit a barn door with a banjo, lost too much ground to catch the top 3 and have a battle just to get the champions league. Me i would take Chelsea at the Bridge, that way we do get a day out somewhere and who knows they have lost before to championship teams in cup competitions, Barnsley and Burnley. We may even bring them back to the King Power Stadium and if they play like they did on saturday against Birmingham we may beat them We play Birmingham in the championship so its going to be disappointing draw for both teams but as this is the quarter final of the FA Cup both clubs may be happy with the draw as both are 1 win off Wembley
Birmingham are more beatable, but if we could upset Chelsea, it would maybe be our best cup moment of all time! But I'll be rooting for Brum, so there's your answer.
Should have put an option for "Don't care - bring either of them on!" as I would have voted for that!
The wife wants Brumegum cos it will be cheaper. I want chelsea cos its a bigger game for us. Last time i went to chelsea we had 6 put past us. oh well, i might just change my mind
Agreed ... my view - whatever will be will be ... on our day we can give anyone a game and in the last few games (including the loss at Watford) our overall level of performance has been better than it's ben all season - don't think either Brum or Chelsea will relish playing us in our current form...
I would prefer Chelsea as I think it would be a better day out for us and, strangely, we might have a better chance of winning. That's not because Birmingham are better than Chelsea since they aren't but Chelsea might take it a lot easier (I think our game is sandwiched between Napoli and Tottenham for them) and we can catch them unawares. We also seem to do better as underdogs and all the pressure would be on Chelsea. Also, it would be just as big a game for Birmingham as for us. However, I wouldn't be disappointed if we were playing Birmingham in the quarter-finals.
