Alright chaps anyone know the latest on O'Shea for Chelsea's visit on Saturday. With the departure of our best player so far this season in Anton Ferdinand we need a settled back four now but last I heard was O'Shea was released from the Ireland squad due to injury, can anyone clear this up?

Also I see Nedum is still at Man City, realy suprised with that as he is never going to get a game for the blue half of Manc land. With the departure of Anton I am very suprised he wasn't brought in on another season long loan as he proved to be a good player for us last season.

Supposedly he wants to stay in the NW for family reasons, plus we might have left it to late.

Can't we just rent him for the Chelsea game, enough time to score the same goal as last year (at home, this time) and then he can go back at half-time?
(Doesn't it make you feel good to think of that moment last year at the Bridge? Just like Carlos Edwards' goal against Burnley in Keane's Championship year?)

Various reports including current Man City thread report that Ned's mother has cancer, so most understandable that he wishes to remain in the North West.
