A season of mixed emotions concludes with our boys lifting old big ears, we've seen every possible emotion this season but Robbie delivered. We are the Champions of Europe and no Spud, Goon, Manc or Scouser can take that away, we've broken records and beaten ze German's on their own turf despite them having every advantage possible including the penalties being taken at their end.... enjoy it fellas and let's begin our road to Wembley.... please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
i hope you can understand my pre match bias. but now that it is over and bias irrelevence...id like to say well bloody done. Drogba...forever a thorn in my team....send him to china. enjoy your victory fellas
I have had many highs and lows in the 50+ years I've been a Blue, but last night for the sheer tension and final reward has to be the highest high!
BM2, Would you believe my Sky transmission shut down 5 minutes into the 2nd period of extra time !!!!!!!!!! Had to turn off the phones and wait from 7 am until 10 am for a replay, FINALLY got to see the end 4 hrs after the event !!!!! What an ending. You really couldn't make it up.
CP-- You must have been spitting teeth! It was all I could take watching 5 minutes of penalty taking! If I had to add another 3 hours to it ,I'd have been suicidal!
Fortunately, I'd put my teeth in a jar by the bed !!!!. Actually, the worst part was not being able to "participate" in the moment of victory. Unbelievable result, Drogs with the winning shot, all that angst gone in a nanosecond. What about the performances. Firstly Cech, best for years, Cahill and Luiz, almost faultless after all that time out, the unsung hero Mikel, solid as a rock, my mate Cole top drawer, Boswinga stepped up, Kalou did all that was asked, tracked back all night. Could go on and on. Heroes all, not just this game, but the whole 7 yards. Loads of Chelsea jerseys in the streets of Melbourne today, including my old Zola one !!!
CP--If you saw the parade, you could see the best part of Hammersmith, Fulham and Chelsea were on cloud 9! The strange thing was, that all the on/off players as you say stepped up to the plate and the only one who perhaps was a little under par was our Player of the Year-Juan Mata! Still --everyones entitled to an off day, so I've forgiven him!
Congratulations guys, although you've had an off season in general I think that a few of your players deserved to lift that trophy while they're still playing regularly.
