Lots of Everton talk and then obviously a lot of what ifs etc around Leeds making a claim. However there’s a bigger picture here and starting raise its ugly bead and much to do with the government forcing a regulator onto football, so the Prem and FA starting to look tough to demonstrate they don’t need a regulator.

The big picture though is a lot more sinister for me. You will notice that a few brave clubs started stories about Chelsea and Man City and then yesterday a 15 year old charge was raised against Spurs and I think I’m right in thinking that was 7 managers ago.

Yesterday there was also a vote by Premier League clubs to try and ban multi-club owners from loaning players between their clubs. Amazingly it was voted down as 7 clubs voted against and rule changes need to be 100%. Guess who the 7 clubs who voted against were? Yes the 7 multi-clubs. So a pathetic attempt.

Heres a prediction about Chelsea, Spurs and Man City cheating. I believe the Premier League and FA will bottle it and find nothing against them. Both City and Chelsea have been found not guilty when EUFA tried to sanction them as they took it to CASS and they sided with the clubs. To have a go now is just a joke and think about it, if they were found guilty and relegated initially the EFL clubs would love it as they did with us, but watch the club owners take their bat and ball home, leave the FA, pull all their money out of grassroots football and start playing in the USA, Middle East and ultimately resurrect the European Super League. Football TV deals would be reneged on and a massive legal battle between the prem and tv companies like Sky, CBS, Peacock, DAZN, Amazon would be bankrupting the prem and FA.

Like Ive said on many occasions, the game is completely broken at the top level and I believe it's irreparable. It's to the point with me that I accept all the cheating, both the obvious and the less obvious yet to rear its head. In fact Id go as far as to say my only interest anymore is watching Leeds games and Im one who a decade ago would watch every team I could

A couple of points because generally I think you’re right about football trying to fight off a government appointed regulator (which I hope they win given the complete corrupt and utter shambles this government is). 1. Yes Tottenham was 15 years ago but the ownership and Levy (I think) was still the same. 2. Chelsea has admitted that they breached the rules blaming the previous owner hoping that gets them off.
City deny everything and given how rich the owners are why can’t they spend their money how they want? Personally I’m pleased that they have hacked off scum as it’s clubs like this that want FFP so they could keep the monopoly of winning everything. They can **** off to their super league, it wouldn’t last long when all these clubs that like to win trophies can’t as there can only be one of them that can win it each year.
