I was reasonably happy with a point today. I thought we were getting stronger in the second half - albeit we had a couple of scares -- as did Peterborough. Norris had a spectacular free kick - cracking the bar--- then somehow manages to miss with a header when it would have been harder NOT to score. I was disappointed with the amount of 'cheap' possession we gave away - particularly by Nelson..... Now, please understand - I think he has done well for The Gills - but - why did he continually kick the ball so long - into the grateful hands of their keeper- thus giving up possession. I was baffled that JE allowed this to continue. In the games v Brighton and Sheffield we played possession football - building from the back. We hardly ever gave possession away cheaply. I can understand the benefits of a quick counter attack - but that only works if the ball isn't kicked 30+ yards in front of your most forward player. On the game - gutted to 'lose' 2 points - but probably a fair result as both teams had chances that could have been match winners.
