I'd like to see us keeping our first team fit... would include :- Tremmel, moras, bessone, orlandi, dobbie, lita for starters - if available - Situ and Sigurdsson ..... Remember we lost Monkey in a cup game before, i know he's currently not our preferred CB at the moment, but we've not heard if we are to keep Caulker after Jan for definite have we?, and even so, if Caulker got injured who else have we got? look after our boys and particularly our defence as much as we can...
I've heard Bodde is available for selection potentially for Barnsley... I know everyone's thoughts if he's good enough etc... but has anyone heard if he is available for selection?
Well heard he has been training recently. But then heard last night off a Cardiff fan who's brother is a swans fan that hes injured himself in training. Hope not true
If Tremmel (free ) is next in line between the posts , the 900,000 payed for Moreira 2 months or so earlier seems a bit wasteful . That's almost as much as we payed for Sinclair
Play the reserves with a mix of youth team and hope we get knocked out, our squad is way too small to cope with a cup run at this crucial part of the season, sounds harsh but we struggle when any of our first team squad go missing long term. good luck to Barnsley , hope they go on and win it !!
i've never been one of these people who thinks it benefits the club getting knocked out of cups in the first round against lower league opposition, winning breeds confidence not losing.
I agree moriera was a waste but at the time we didn't have a keeper. If you had seen tremmel and moriera play you will see tremmel is our number 2. So just have to put buying moriera mistake down to experience and if worst comes to worst he's ok in reserve
Wow !!! ... bit out of character for us to panic on a signing like Moreira . Just goes to show you though , once you get to the Premier it can make you change a bit .
From the club website: The Swans travel to Barnsley this weekend in the third round of the FA Cup on the back of a first away win of the season at Aston Villa on Monday. The Swans boss sees it as an ideal chance to carry on from where they left off at Villa Park, also stressing that he won't be drawn into making wholesale changes for the trip to Oakwell. "There won't be too many changes," said Brendan. "The FA Cup is a fantastic competition and it's a cup that we want to do well in, and a cup run can give you great momentum for the second half of the season. http://www.swanseacity.net/page/Latest/0,,10354~2567560,00.html
Given that the game is away then I'm sure he wont change much...get them used to winning away form home hopefully
