"Europe's most exciting league this season" a quote from The Football League Show! Conversly, someone recently described it as the poorest Championship, quality wise for many a year! I've enjoyed it personally, and will be sad in a way to leave it should we be successful, but it would mean more television coverage, more money for the club...hmmm more defeats! Hey ho, no more Football League shows hopefully!
It certainly is a strange league this season! Very open and Mathematically any team from 9th can still be relegated with 5 games to go! Now does that make it a strong league or a weak one?
I will miss the excitement and unpredictability of this league, Will be good to play in the top division and the monies received will be gratefully accepted. Not looking forward to the girly football that is played in the premier and the defeats of course. Oh well at least we are leaving it the right end of the league, unlike the Wurzels who are leaving through the trap door
Hopefully Leeds can join the Wurzels in Division 3 next year, they certainly appear to be in free fall and are only 5 points clear of the drop.
Now Now guys!!! Miaow, miaow!! It is not nice to mock the afflicted.....altho' maybe we SHOULD make an exception for Leeds!!! On the point of the Championship....I too shall miss it. The interest level is immense...much more than the Premiership. I suppose only time will tell how strong it is this year.....how those who go up and down fare next season.....team adjustments being allowed for too. However, the closeness suggests that there is some kind of uniformity of standard of teams. If we look at lsst years movers, the three who came down have struggled and those that came up hardly set the world on fire. All in all, I would say that those who wish to suggest it's a poor championship this year and just full of sour grapes.
