If it means that the upper echelon of the Club fug off and we get back to playing decent football would it be that bad .I'm fed up of just surviving ,watching the sell-outs getting richer and our playing style disappearing at a rate of knots
I'm all for the Yanks to fvck off, never wanted in the 1st place. Would have preferred being a 'toy' of a far/middle eastern playboy than under Yank ownership. At least the former seem to 'get' football, something our 'soccer team' owners never will. How many British clubs have benefited from American influence, probably Liverpool under FSG. But would I wish us to go down under them, to be honest, probably not. That could change over the next month or so, of course. Yeah the football is poor, but Clement is as much to blame as anyone. If he feels he can only play this way due to the difficiencies of the squad. He could have walked & held the 'moral' high ground, because of the sh1te transfer window. He might get sacked now & financially compensated, but plenty of clubs would have been interested had he done so. He's just as culpable in my mind, with effectively 'signing off' that he was happy with the squad. He should have been more in the open. Seems to be that way with Rafa & Cashley. Before anyone has a go, I take it he's a different level of manager (Rafa). I'd love us to get back to playing good football. Though as much as I thought I loved it, was our Premier League possession football, as good as we always seem to make out. There were some awful stalemates under both Rodgers & Laudrup, where we bored fans silly & basically bored teams into submission, in attempting to break them down. A lot of the time with no chances on goal, much the same as now, by the way. Although, it was okay, because we had 70% possession. Ironically, I think the best football was when it all 'clicked' under Martinez, when we romped to the League One title, playing fast expansive devastating possession football, with Bodde pulling the strings. I'll take Brendan's promotion football too, now I think of it. To go down just to get rid of the Yanks, not totally sure. It has no assurance of better football. What I wrote about above, was a one off as a Swans fan. Such a change of footballing philosophy, like under Bobby, don't happen much. Also just look at Sunderland, they've just gone down to start again, you could say. Although now, maybe destined for League One, instead of a return to the big time.
Swings and roundabouts with Swansea and Cardiff. We have had a good run in the premiership better than anyone thought and we are still here and still in with a chance of staying here, you never know.....If we do go down then we will deserve too and most of us on here will know the reason and who the culprits that are responsible. Cardiff to be fair have finally got a manager who knows what he is doing and you cant fail to notice that Tan has disappeared off the headlines which was needed. I love a bit of banter like the next man but i dont Hate Cardiff, I have many friends who support Cardiff. As far as i can see they have turned the corner and deserve to be where they are and they play good football under warnock who has acquired the right players and if we were to play them today then i think they would have no trouble in beating us quite frankly.......It is still early days yet but we have to change. All our best players have been sold in the last two seasons and that is really bad management by us and we need Answers as to why this has happened and what is the reason behind the killing of a once well run club envied by many who used us as an example. Our fans dont deserve what has happened and continue to happen, Our form is dreadful our football is very poor that we wont win many games this season if we carry on as we are and radical change is needed starting with Clem and his coaching team, They need to up their game and make changes in the way they train the team as the passing that we were known for is non existent......I hope things change even if it is in the management but we cant carry on like we are as that much is certain.....I want to see us in the premiership for a few more years yet and i hope Cardiff can join us to add some spice.....rant over.......for now.!!!!..

maybe and it's just maybe the players we have are not good enough for any national side let alone Wales . how many PL Clubs actually furnish players for England for example

Bobby brown shoes had us playing the best footy, though he never had much of a handle on defence, and Rodgers went stupid with tiki taki, so much sideways footy, but you had to give it to Brenda, the oposition were chasing shadows, those I look upon as the golden days that will be written in our folk law!.........
We have Academy status now, yet we are still poor at developing welsh players, and that's because the ****ers in the boardroom do bugger all regarding the Welsh side of things, they couldn't even be bothered with bringing Joe back!........
We have a decent representation at U21 level with four players , Cardiff have 3 so out of squad of 19 players that's not a bad representation imo . Obviously it could be better but when you consider that the other Clubs represented are Liverpool, Everton Man Citeh Chelsea and Leicester who have bigger and more established Academies then it's a fair reflection.
We could do a lot better, why is it that some English clubs snap up welsh talent and we don't? Even Coleman in the Wales camp does a better job at it than we do!.....
One Wales ex Swan to be proud of.. Ben just scored for Spurs, what an accomplished player for Club & Country he is. Chuffed for him.. On a side note.. Harry Kane, another brace, what a superb finisher, the guy is lethal.
Most teams when they come up go through a honeymoon period but they will have some confidence when they see team like Palace, WH and Swansea worse than them.....All three are so poor they must fancy their chances and penciled in as targets for 3 points and survival...
