What Championship grounds are you looking forward to visiting next season? Maybe you've been before and had a good day out there, or ones you've never visited before and want to tick it off your list. Despite it being relatively close to me, I've never been to The Valley. So looking forward to remedying that next season hopefully. Discuss.....
You sound like one of those irritating happy-clappy born-again Christians Aqua, you're beginning to rival Swords for wumming...
You're flogging a dead horse with this happy clappy tosh but its well recorded i have a penchant for Barnsley away. Who knows when we will cross paths at oakwell once more?
Lets hope so. I would gladly make the Doha - Barnsley - Doha round trip for a meat & potato pie and a dire 1 nil defeat on a wet Tuesday in February at the Tykes
At how many grounds have you seen QPR play, Marine Boy? Honest answer! I have only been to 52 (53 if Wembley is included)
How're you getting on Wubs? Assume it's still full steam ahead over there on Blatters' folly? You've not really missed anything over here, the R's are still as crap as ever when it comes to top flight football. Still could be worse we could support either Wednesday or United, so there but for the grace of god eh? Keep safe Wubs.
I was disappointed to see the Blades screw up their promotion attempt yet again. Two Steel City fixtures would definitely have tempted me to risk my tenuous tax exile status. Remember our glorious 3 nil promotion season match at Bramall Lane when they fired their manager at half time and even Hogan scored? Heady days indeed. Give me that over a life sapping West Ham away defeat in the Prem every time All is well in Blatterland. I never have to put the central heating on and my tan is coming on a treat. Up the R's. See you at Rotherham on Boxing Day
It's better than all the misery on here, raking over old ground time and time again. Now is the time to look forward. Nothing anyone can do about the past now, and that's a fact! Tell me, why is this wumming exactly? Would love to know. What is so wrong with starting a positive thread, eh? Does it fly in the face of the masses intent on doom and gloom and moaning.
A few more than that, you're just a novice. Mind you I have been going to the rangers since 1963, so that would make sense. As I said, Charlton, strangely is not one of them.
indeed it is, provided you are not sat in the Gods at SJP! Remember well going to SJP in 1969 I think and seeing one the best centre forwards of that time play for Newcastle, a welsh chap called Wynne Davies. A proper centre forward.
I think that we should be looking more closely at all the grounds and categorising them. 1. Grounds for optimism. (Places where we might actually pick up points.) 2. Grounds for despair. (Places where we are liable to come away empty handed.) 3. Grounds for unfair dismissal. (Places where a player may be sent off for no reason.) 4. Grounds for appeal. (Places where penalty claims are often successful.) 5. Grounds for divorce. (Places so far away that your spouse will be annoyed at you "wasting the whole weekend" and "leaving me on my own with the kids.")
Nice one, would be interested to see what folk think, especially 1 and 2. We should really be able to pick up points at any Champs ground. Got a feeling Brizzle City will do well in the Champs, providing they hang on to Cotterill. Leeds is always a tricky one as is Norwich....if they don't go up.
I'll take my hat off to you then. I wouldn't class myself as a novice, considering I have lived in Sweden for the last 22 years, I haven't done too badly. My first away game came as late as 1980.
blimey, that's amazing if you've been in Sweden...good man. Do you keep a souvenir of each one? There's a website around of some guy who does all the grounds and it's a kind of travelogue. Very interesting but can't remember what it's called.
