After last night's result West Ham are still in with a shout. I guess 99% of neutrals favour The Saints (As indeed do I) But, If it were to finish as a Hammers win and a Saints draw on Saturday with a two goal margin in favour of the former i.e 3-0 & 1-1, 4-0 and 2-2 etc. Then we would have equal on points,GD and goals scored.I think then it goes to results between the two teams 1-0 to Saints at home,1-1 draw away.
its more interesting than it was before last night, thats for sure!! i just can't see saints slipping up at home to coventry - nor do i want them to, i'd like them to go up. blackpool for the play offs? that would be an extremely vibrant three teams coming up then, wouldn't it!
They'd be my three, Superman - and let the Hammers rot in the championship for another year or ten Arrogance personified, or at least the fans I know are. Seem to have some kind of 'divine right' to be in the top flight, but blissfully/ignorantly unaware that that privelege has to be earned.
most people like the saints, similar club to ourselves. Saints to go up. don't care about the play offs really, a south wales derby in the prem could be good for the neutral though and i'd like Malky to do well.
I know Ollie can put the country yokel on a bit but I still like his unworldliness. After last season I think Blackpool deserve another chance.
It's finger nail biting time down here. Saints fans got their wish when Pompey were relegated to league 1, now Portsmouth fans hoping that Southampton don't get promotion. I personally want Saints to get promoted along with Blackpool.
I would like to see Cardiff go up via the play offs, only because I have a good rapport with the Bluebirds fans on here Sadly I do not think they can win the play offs assuming they make them in the first place, but you never know. Southampton to finish 2nd would be good but have no objection to West Ham bouncing straight back up.
I'd like to see Cardiff go up as they're an hour or so by train away from Bath, plus I'd like to see malky do well. However having Ollie back would be more entertaining.
Saints for me - as is said elsewhere, they are a similar club to ourselves, have a great fanbase, play good football and would be an asset to the PL. Would like to see Blackpool or Cardiff via the play-offs don't mind who.
only a slight reservation for me on Southampton and that's I dont realy want to see another team repeat our feat of back to back promotions into the premiership, though i do agree they are a great team and would be a credit to the EPL.
Anyone BUT West Ham, please.... Here's a song the old Barclay used to sing at West Ham fans, first heard in 1972; You can stick your ****ing hammers up your arse, You can stick your ****ing hammers up your arse, You can stick your ****ing hammers, stick your ****ing hammers, Stick your ****ing hammers up your arse. Good song Eh. ILD OTBC
Never have been bothered about another clubs demise or success, even Ipswich bless 'em, apart from when we are playing them so good luck to them all. We know what failure and success is like all to readily. No better feeling for a supporter than winning promotion or a cup, makes the summer seem better.
seriously, can we stop singing sloop john b for EVERY football song?! i mean, i like the song but a bit of variation is always nice!
