Champions league???

    Ameobi has come out today and said that he wants to play championsleague football again with newcastle.
    Ive also read alot of blogs saying in 3 or 4 years we could have Championsleague football back.
    Are we being serious, or just deluded, maybe if Man u, Citeh, Chelski, Spuds, Arsenal and liverpool all folded then yes we might have a chance but at the moment were still fighting to stay in the premier league imo.
    We have an owner who only wants to save money and a team thats not bad but not even top 7 yet.
    Is there Actuely anyone out there who think we could play Championsleague football for another 20 years (unless we suddenly came over Man C type money), i even heard one blogger saying that with our imporvment we could being winning the league in 7-10 years, no wonder they call us deluded.

    European football is definitely something which could happen in the near future. I would like to think Europa League in the next 2/3 seasons and who knows about champions league. I think the likes of Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Ba etc have joined Newcastle with the intention of guiding the club to European football. If we dont achieve this in the next 2 seasons, I do feel they will leave as they all capable of playing at the highest level.

    You called.

    No you wont get in the Champions League in the next 3-4 years, next 20 who knows but like us the only way you will be seeing CL anytime soon is if they open it to the top 10.

    You never know what could happen. If we get into Europa this season and are able to hold on to our best players who knows.

    With European football as well we can attract the Gervinhos and Gamerios before they decide to go elseware. Just take it a step at a time and not rush and it's possible.

    But knowing us, we'll cock it up, Ashley will sell and we'll be relegated.
