Haven't seen anyone bring it up, so I thought I'd put the whole thing up for discussion. Here's a video of the two players on their way to attend your game yesterday: I'm sure it throws up enough talking points without me interjecting, so fire away.
A disgrace to the Club. Fortunately, the comments on YouTube seem to support the notion that they are wrong. Shameful behaviour, whatever you think of Nasri and his motives, it's only a game at the end of the day.
There are morons in every fanbase. These are the cretins of a generation . The common clay of todays society. They would abuse anyone in the street and think its normal. They happened to have Nasri and Chamakh to be obnoxious to . Its not Arsenal . Its society.
The behaviour is childish and pathetic. When i first heard about this video i was led to believe that it was a mob who abused Nasri & Chamakh.Looking at it i would appear it was just two people.I suspose they are happy that they've got their five minutes of fame on YouTube
Im sure Nasri was upset all the way to the bank. He is freakin minted and the Neanderthals will go off laughing all the way back their council flat. You could explain it to them but it would be like talking to mud. As an Arsenal fan i have no problem with Nasri leaving for a fat pay packet. At least he is honest about it. I dont recall him going on about how much he loved Arsenal.
Out of order. Both players gave 100% when they pulled on the Arsenal shirt, so these two morons can go and do one, they don't represent the majority of Arsenal fans.
I'm all up for the pantomine of heroes and villans when players are on the pitch, but when you meet footballers in the street, I believe that you should show the same respect that you would expect in return. At the end of the day, these are two young men who play a game of football, they are ordinary blokes like anybody else. They don't deserve to be sworn and shouted at. The people who made this vid should be ashamed of themselves.
Deeply unpleasant and cowardly behavior I used to do a bit of Minding in the eighties and as soon as you fronted clowns like that they quickly changed to "i just wanted an autograph sorry no offence" but the wider issue is the gap between fans and players is now so wide that these guys may as well be from another planet so players don't respect the fans and fans love their club and don' give a sh t about the players who they see as over paid money grabbing assoles
I think players are massively over paid, over hyped and have little or no sense of loyalty but I can not imagine me being abusive to a player like that...that these two or three twats thought what they did was so cool that they videoed and youtubed it as well says everything about them (none of it good) and sod all about football fans (arsenal or otherwise).
When I was a nipper, I used to stand with my Dad and wait for the away team coach to arrive at the steps to the marble halls at Highbury to try to get some autographs from the players. Even though those players were there to try and beat Arsenal, they were always really polite and respectful towards the fans, which was reciprocated. There was never any swearing or name calling or trying to goad opposition players, even when Spurs turned up at Highbury.
When I used to go with my Dad we stood in the junior gunners enclosure and I was a very well behaved and polite young lad. But when I got a bit older and started standing on the North Bank with my uncouth friends they were a bad influence and they made me swear and make obscene gestures to the opposition players. I remember getting ejected at a Luton game once for making a ****er gesture to the players coming out of the tunnel. This big bad ass copper had me and some other lad by the scruff of the neck and led us out of the ground. I remember him pushing me so hard down the steps by the North Bank on Avenell Rd entrance that I nearly went tumbling down. If he didn't have hold of the collar of my coat I would have been in trouble
Frankly I don't see what the big deal is. It was just a bit of abuse, it didn't look like they were threatening him the only intimidation comes from the fact that he's disliked by Arsenal fans and is surrounded by Arsenal fans walking up to the game. He was daft for just walking up to the stadium like that, if Modric was dumb enough to walk up to White Hart Lane I'd say he got off lightly if it was just a couple of fans calling him a ****er. Don't get me wrong, the guys involved don't cover themselves in glory by running their mouths and filming it but what did Nasri expect? He should've either travelled with the team or took a car there. Is it really so much better if Nasri was on the pitch and had 50,000 fans chanting that he was a ****er? Personally I didn't see why you guys were so annoyed with him for leaving in the first place but that's not really the issue here.
I remember in the late 1970s the year Chelsea got relegated I had a Girlfriend who was a "North bank Girl" the Chelsea coach went passed us outside Highbury She took one look pulled up her skirt reveling red knickers and shouted "have that Osgood" the coach then got stuck 30 yards down the road by the time we caught up to it half the Chelsea team were at the window making gestures at us (Her) she stood there for a second before bending over skirt hitched showing her ass thankfully the bus then moved off with the Chelsea players laughing their heads off. Quality bird that was I wonder where she is today
