As long as you replace him it's not the end of the world for you. He was getting carried by other players for much of the past season, he clearly wanted to be back in Spain last season. If a player isn't 100% committed it shows on the pitch.
He was injured for half the season last year! didnt play 100% like he did the season b4. His head was in the clouds wanting to go back to spain! It was like he was preparing us for his departure in the summer! Nasri- Yes had a fantastic start to the season, got injured and had a quieter second half!! So £25m for him thankyou very much Mr Mansoor! So as long as we replace them with one creative influencing player, one defender. Top 4 and challenging for the title here we come!
Its not. But this is a player we have seen grow from a kid with a very dodgy mullet to one of the best playmakers in the world. Compared to most modern day players, Cesc has been with us for a long time so its sad to see him leave.
arsenal wont be able to get a player a good as fabregas so they will be weaker this season. only scraped 4th last year icant see them ending top 4 this one
You think we should have sold him for £27m a month ago? Because that was Barca's bid. How did Arsenal scrape 4th? We were on course for finishing 2nd but collapsed and had relegation form towards the end of the season but STILL finished 4th comfortably.
Liverpool fan in peace - lot of sympathy for you guys on this one... A lot of echos for us with Torres last season, and then him screwing us by leaving at the last minute. You must be pretty frustrated at the managements handling of this one as I would guess that even if you reinvest the lot you would have got a lot more for your money a few weeks ago that you're gonna get now with the transfer window about to close...
The problem you've got now is - who do you replace him with? There aren't many players in the world of Fabregas' calibre, so it'll be hard. The wisest thing to do would have been agree a deal for Thiago at the same time, but it doesn't look like that's happened. Also, with the increase in likelihood of Nasri leaving you may have to replace him too. There isn't long of the transfer window left, will you have time to pull off some major deals?

I don't really know who we could get in as an adequate replacement. Sure, there are a lot of talented creative midfielders, but none of them (the ones we could realistically sign) are at cesc's level.
Hahaha is it true we're only getting £25.3m up front? ( TWENTY-FIVE point THREE) WTF?!?! He's easily worth twice that much. For that money I would have risked keeping an unhappy Cesc. The fee could rise to a maximum of £35m...we got ripped off badly.
Thiago will be a great player but he's not one yet. We need to buy proven quality not more youngsters. As for Cesc the writing has been on the wall for a long time so in some ways its a relief that its all over. Will miss having someone so classy in our midfield though.
A degree in Economics - but Wenger can't see the big picture. Haggles over £2m for solving BIG problems - but lets a long list of players go over triffles.
