Still here. Fat ****er needs to do one. Amazing that he is getting full salary by basically refusing to play. Scandalous.

he's not in the squad as he has a 7k appearance fee due even if he's on the bench. so were saving 250k ish a season by not having him on the bench.

Let's hope Green doesn't get crocked on the run-in, that would give the greedy cnut a get-out-of-jail-free card...

Clearly both sides are too blame, his greed & our stupidity for giving the contract. Will serve him right if doesn't make their World Cup squad though.

Perhaps someone will snap him up for the upcoming MLS season - could join Defoe @ TFC with Ryan Nelsen.

Seriously, with an incredibly short career how many of us would take a massive pay cut to move on! If he puts in 100% if selected I have no issue. We hired him on the contract he's got, move on!

Yep me too and I've earned more than the part time shop assistant down the road but I'll be buggered if I'm taking a pay cut I don't have to. I don't know your job but say your employer comes to you and says you've done nothing wrong however we think we've overpaid you, now move to the company down the road doing the same job but they'll only give you half the amount. You'd leap at it wouldn't you???

Come on 74! We (you and I) work to pay the bills and have a few luxuries, he has more money than he can spend in 50 lifetimes. I would jump as well, but he doesn't need to.

Surely he will go out on loan when the loan window opens, his wage demands have always been the stumbling block to a move but he must surely realize that this is his LAST chance to play some games and cement his place in the Brazil team in a home world cup. Come on Julio don't be so bloody greedy!

He started playing football because he loves the game.

I agree I wouldn't want to take a pay cut but I certainly wouldn't waste my talent and career not even making the bench at a Championship club and ultimately losing the chance to play at a World Cup.

I'm sorry but some things money can't buy, self respect, pride and ambition are all examples of these...
