Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on all the rumoured CM's we are getting linked with? We currently have 6 players (N' Diaye, Larsson, Cattermole, Vaughan, Colback & Gardner) who can occupy CM. We have just added Cabal & Ba as well and have still been linked with Guilavogui, Duncan, Obi and probably a boat load more ive missed.

With Colback, Vaughan, Larsson & Gardners contracts having a year remaining, who do you think will be first for the chop? I personally wouldnt be suprised if 3 out of the 4 went as i cant see 6 people wanting to challenge for two CM spots.

if we have a CM group of... Guillervogue, N'Diaye, Duncan, Cabral, Ba and Colback (think he will be mainly used as a full back) I will be one of the happiest men alive

I dont think we will let any go really, look how stretched we were last season and you can never predict injuries and out of those names Colback can cover left-back and Larrson the right wing so we need some strength on the bench.

I would say the man most at risk is Vaughan/Cattermole as that is the only place he can play.

Vaughan, Larsson and Gardner have to be at most risk as they're all going into to final year of their contract. Doubt they'd be offered new ones.

Those 2 for me, ship the rest.
The way recruitment is looking seems there`ll be plenty of backup.

well we really can't afford to let all them go or we will be back to having a light weight squad again and that's no good

I like Gards, you need a few 100% ers in the team and he can cover a few positions plus he scored 7 goals last season from right back, best right back goal stats in the Prem? Ever? haha

Vaughan Larsson to go. Id say maybe catts too as he's too injury prone. Gardner is a decent squad player like colback

    Catts, Vaughan most at risk.

Larsson can play RW, Colback is Di Canio's man crush, Gardner can play RB as well as CM.

    I see it like this:

New Development Squad players: Ba, possibly Duncan

Existing CM's (to remain): N'Diaye, Cattermole
New CM's: Cabral, then one of Guilavogui or Obi
Utlility players (to remain): Colback & Gardner

    Right-sided midfielders/attackers: Larsson, Johnson
    Left-sided midfielders/attackers: Vaughan, McClean

Out of these, I only see Johnson as a definite........McClean has a lot to prove this year or he has gone, Vaughan & Larsson also looking very close to the exit door as they don't have either CM strength/relaibility, nor do they have the skills/pace to light up the wider/front areas.

We need at least 2-3 more attacking mids in to give us a proper squad

I would much prefer PDC and the buying boys to hold our nerve and not let anyone go until later on in the window once we know who we`ve got coming in... lessons from previous windows (last Jan and others) have to be learnt - lets not ship people out before we have others in - I know it sounds simple but we`ve never really done it in the past

    scopare le gazze (FTM)

    Happy Days (giorni felici)

I really don't understand comments like this. No offense poolie but how much have you really even seen of any of those players? :s you didn't even spell the French lads name right! Lol.

Seems to me alot of people are getting overly excited about our new signings just because they're foreign they must be amazing... It doesn't work like that. Of the players you've named (other than N'Diaye and JC), probably the only one who MIGHT be ready to go straight into the first team is Cabral. Maybe. The rest are kids who's experience for the most part consists of a few games in a foreign 2nd division?!? If that is our CM choices come the start of next season I'd put money on us going down tbh.
