Without any shadow of a doubt i would do all i could to retain Dailly (providing he's not after crazy money). Imo he's still class act who can easily continue to do a job in this league. All he needs is a dependable and constant partner at the back. Not the likes of Fortune, Doc or The Big Spaniard. All of whom are Imo simply not good enough for various reasons. Having said all that i would prefer to see a younger CB pairing start for us. However, surely there's room in our squad for someone with the ability and experience of Dailly regardless of his advancing years. After all, would his experienced old head not be of use when it comes to the continuing development of our youngsters. Surely the likes of Mambo, Solly and Evina will look up to him and can only learn from someone who's been their and brought the tshirt... I know i would.
Think there's a steward called Terry Barry at The Valley. He tends to work on the gate at south end of the west stand, I think.
According to poster on CL we are going to sign centre back Danny Batth from Wolves. Apparently he was on loan with the Owls last season.
I suggested Batth a while back- was very impressed with him at Colu, but know very little of his time at Sheff Weds. A big, no nonsense defender. I'd even consider this signing over David Luiz or Rio.
I'd like to be the first to pour cold water on that particular rumour please log in to view this image
very good Dick...!! Having done a little research on him he most certainly ticks most of my boxes... Young, big, strong, good in the air... there's question marks over his pace though which is a bit of a worry. Although, i would put my mortgage on him being better than the sacks of s**t we've got who 'play' at CB.
Les Berry great servant to the club always gave 100% but thoroughly useless BUT you couldnt help but love him.
