nile ranger, no way. under roeder maybe, but not now with Norwich v2.0 reading annoyingly seem to have decent wage bargaining power. if we are in for him, then we are more established so that would count. always want to get one over on reading as they are my local team so there are plenty of royals around here.
off the pitch he does have a reputation. i think he might even be facing jail, though that may be me mixing him up with someone else so excuse me if i'm wrong on that. i'm equally as bothered by his performances and i saw him a couple of times last year at sheffield wednesday where to be fair, he did ok, but i don't believe he is top championship quality let alone premier league class. just my opinion but i think he thinks he is premier league; his ability is not.
I would rather see Martin at CB than RB where he looked a bit shaky and short of pace last season. I thought that he did brilliantly at CB and showed good leadership of the back four and I would not be at all surprised to see him start with Bennett next season or Ayala if he is ever off the treatment table. i would not be disappointed with a back four of Tierney/R Martin/Bennet or Ayala/Whittaker with Ward kept as emergancy (and only emergancy) cover and Barnett released with thanks.
chatted to a newcastle fan last night who said the kid has tonnes of ability (not that i've seen it) but that he needs a great man-manager to get the best out of him. he suggested hughton could be that man but i'm like you gruffnuts - i think ranger is best avoided!
We have guinea pigs and up until recently we lined their cage with it, one morning I woke up to a note pinned to their water bowl protesting about the filth they were forced to poo on...
