Right, Celtic cannot atone for last weeks ****in horror show but it is expected that Celtic will progress to the next round.

Do not treat as a preseason run out ... full pelt! Any win will do!

Hopefully Roberts, the thumb and Griffiths all start with Christie and Henderson and NO Ambrose!

Big Sadie Janko---- Ivanhoe Svientencko---- Ferdinand Ajer---- Boab Tierney

Imps to win 2-1, so anything more is a bonus.

    Job done <ok>

    Nice tempo 1st half .

Took it down a gear or two in second half. Nothing more then a pre season friendly in second half ...

Aye, blew them off the park 1st half but they are a decent wee outfit and their manager knows his stuff.

Agreed. Hopefully we'll have enough to get a draw in Boratland.

CB is the priority, hopefully someone who's an out and out defender.

i don't think we need an attacking midfielder. I think we are desperate for a defensive midfielder and a centre back.

I'm making an assumption that Celtic have been working on some deals and will finalise at least one today.

Indeed, we would have been better off getting in a bunch of guys in their 30s with no resale value and paying them 30k a week.

What...not immediately adding to a bloated squad without assessing who you already have .. knowing you had adequate players to get through the first round.

I also think the squad is adequate enough to get through round 2.

A centre back would be ideal today...

If Celtic get through then, a player or 2 of quality will be required to get through play off.

I've said it before, the Celtic squad doesn't need wholesale changes. In addition to dembele, we need 3 or 4 quality additions (in total). Quality won't come until we see if we have a chance of the play off round.

Celtics business model wont allow a manager to spunk millions "just in case we might get champions league group stages" and then end up in Europe League anyway!

Rodgers will win the league with the squad available plus a couple of "his players"

If Brenda doesn't make the CL he is a failure

But I'll give him one more chance next season

To an extent but I expect the board to back rodgers with better signings/more cash.

Again, I agree to an extent. It's a thankless task becoming Celtic manager and expecting to hit the ground running in 2nd/3rd week of pre-season but that's the job.

If he fails to get champions league this season, and wins the league this season, he'll get next season bur he'll have no where to hide if he failed again.

Delia, and the board, failed twice and the second time it was even more miserable when you factor in the utter farce of the Europa league in his second season.
