http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/articles/ceballos-completes-move-110711.html We are delighted to announce the signing of Cristian Ceballos. Ceballos, 18, spent almost seven years with Barcelona after joining them when he was 11 and can operate as an attacking midfielder or a forward. Technical co-ordinator Tim Sherwood said: "Cristian trained hard and showed some real quality when he originally spent time here towards the end of last season and was even involved in some of the First Team training. "There was other interest in him too. He needs to be patient and if he can fulfil his potential we believe he can play at the top level."
Only time will tell but the fact they have seen him train at close range for a sustained period of time is good.
Not really, SWS. He was a youngster with a lot of hype, but hasn't really played any first team football. Turned up about five years ago on a lot of people's radar, because he performed some tricks with Ronaldinho in training at Barca.
He got famous as a kid on a Youtube video doing kickups with Ronaldinho. He was released by Barcelona because he was small and they felt they had enough little tricky players coming through the system without him. Chelsea took him on trial and trained with the first team before a Champions League game and impressed, however they wanted to weigh up their options before offering him a deal and that's when we got him to trial with us and signed him.
Cheers PNP and Schteffen. In my head I'm picturing GDS, though if Chelsea were interested I'm encouraged (even if they are a disgraceful club run a dodgy russian who is stealing the lynchpin of our team!).
Barca reject I think. Either a diamond in the rough, or a not-quite-good-enough youngster we seem so fond of signing.
This is another "as well as" signing, the mint sauce on the lamb, the mustard on the saltbeef. Where the FLUCK are the real signings?
Don't worry Chirpy, Joe Cole, Scott Parker and what ever other Wet Spam has-beens Harry can pick up will soon be with us, taking us to the heady heights of the Championship.
The problems part of the solution........ If Redknapp's mentality cannot get past his favorites it won't matter if we signed Christian Ronaldo and Eto he still wouldn't play em. (we wouldn't want crouchie looking bad now do we?) Let's wait to see who old gobshyte buys and sells first to see which direction he wants to take/drag us.
