I think for the first time in a long time I have lost the faith. I just don’t understand what’s going on how can we be so good only a few games ago against Liverpool and so poor since. The thing that has made the most impact on me is how much we have seemed to lose the fighting spirit and never say die attitude we once had. We always knew we didnt have the squad and the quality off player but it was the determination and attitude that seemed like it was going to see us over the line. NOT ANY MORE!!
A bit more bite in the last couple minutes. Can't work MM's formation's out at the moment. We need some 'back to basics'. 442 or 451, but people playing in their best positions. Just can't get my head around LL in the middle when we are crying out for someone wide right and that is his best position. Earnie getting a few chances.
Total loss of confidence right through the team, time to forget this season and get the youngsters on the field, less chance of them choking.
Don't waste any money on a loan player Malky. Give the young lads some experience ready for next season. I have been positive despite recent results but our season is over. Can't even beat the worst team in the division.
I second that save the money get the youth on let’s start to build for next year. In reality we would have all been happy with this season had we not been in such a good position around Xmas too many times now we have let the January window come and go then paid the price. So I agree with HB lets get some off the youth a few games and try to bolster our squad for next season with some off them getting experience now. Then if we can get in one or 2 over the summer at least we will start with a bigger squad!
on the bright side, did anyone see that outrageous steven mcphail backheel nutmeg? on a more serious note, although i thought hudson had a good game, as well at whitts, we were largely toothless up front. i think isawronnymorescore said that we dont attack the box enough and i cant agree more, the first half was turgid, despite the goal from turner. and we faded badly in the last 5-10 minutes and camped on the edge of our box, inviting shots from outside the box, they hit the demba late on as well, a point was probably the right result but in all honesty we needed 3
